 Mrs. María Estela
(Serafini) Acosta of Westford, MA died Thursday morning, April 2, 2009
at her home surrounded by her family after a battle with cancer.
She was married to Mr. Eduardo E. Acosta with whom she would have
celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on May 10,
2009.
Born in Córdoba Argentina on August 23, 1948, the daughter of the late
Juan Carlos and María (Miguela) Serafini. She was educated in
her native Argentina and attended three years of college before
migrating to the United States of America in 2001.
María was employed as an Editor at Cambridge Brick House in Lawrence,
MA until her illness prevented her from working.
She was a faithful communicant of St. Catherine’s Church in Westford.
She was an avid weaver and artist. She enjoyed painting china.
Besides her loving husband, Eduardo, she is survived by two sons and a
daughter-in-law, Eduardo and Valeria Acosta-Serafini of Westford, Pablo
Acosta of Dracut and his fiancé, Ramona of Filipi of Medford, MA, two
cherished grandsons, Alejandro and Marcos Acosta both of Westford, many
nieces, nephews and several close family friends.

2009. Visiting hours Fri., TODAY 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Sat at 10 a.m.
from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a
funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Church, Westford. Burial in
Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford, MA. Memorials may be made in her name to
the Sophia Gordon Cancer Center at Lahey Clinic, 41 Mall Rd.,
