 Ms. Eleanor Ann
(Melanson) Dubois, a life long resident of Lowell, died Friday, April
24, 2009 at Northwood Nursing Home in Lowell following a long illness.
She was formerly married to the late Mr. Raymond J. Dubois who died
November 9, 1997.
Born in Lowell on August 18, 1929, the daughter of the late William F.
and Margaret (Morris) Melanson. She was a graduate of Morey
Junior High in Lowell with the class of 1945 and Lowell High School
with the class of 1948.
She was employed in her earlier years with M&M Tree Service in
Westford where she oversaw the business operations for more than 15
years and later at Andover Medical and retired from Wang Laboratories
in 1996. After her retirement she volunteered at the Northwood Nursing
Home in Lowell.
She was a communicant of St. Margaret Church in Lowell and St. John the
Evangelist Church in Chelmsford.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending quality time with family and
friends.
Eleanor is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dennis R.
and Patricia Dubois of Bradenton, FL, Gary Dubois of Lynn, Scott F. and
Denise Dubois of Lowell, a sister, Margaret and her husband Albert
Turcott of Dracut, a sister-in-law, Nancy Melanson of Dunstable, MA and
a brother-in-law, Robert Maguire of Lowell, MA, one cherished
granddaughter, Christina Dubois of Lowell, many nieces, nephews and
close family friends.
She was the sister of the late Louis and Betty Melanson, and Isabell
Casper and her husband, John, Donald Melanson and his wife, Martha,
Helen Maguire, Raymond Melanson, Walter and his wife Terry Melanson,
and Roger Melanson.

Visiting hours Sunday 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service Monday at 9:30 AM at
