Died
on April 25, 2009 at Saints hospital in Lowell, Massachusetts Elizabeth
Jo (McNamara) Lenfest wife of Verton W. Lenfest, Jr. with whom she
would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on September 25th.
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Candice Rae Mack and
her husband, Thomas Mack, several grandchildren, Kimberly Rae Doerfler
and her husband, Scott; Ryan Thomas Mack and his wife, Rebecca; and
Tomisyn Helen Mack and her fiancée, Chad Sylvester, as well as two
great-grandchildren, Carragan Elizabeth Mack and Thomas James Doerfler
and soon-to-arrive Victoria Rae Doerfler. She
also leaves two brothers, John McNamara and Philip McNamara, five
sisters, Ada Tucker, Anne Prue, Pauline Lamb, June Tucker and Ruth
Theriault. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles McNamara, and two
sisters, Laura Morin, and Annette Carney. Mrs.
Lenfest was born on November 24th 1932 and grew up in Ashland,
Maine the daughter of John and Ruth (Robinson) McNamara and, after
being graduated from Ashland High School she and her sister, Pauline
joined the Womens’ Army Corp from which she was honorably discharged
with the rank of Corporal after serving two years.
She
and her husband met and resided in Meriden, Connecticut for nineteen
years. They moved to Chelmsford, Mass in 1973 and established an
insurance and real estate agency. She was a licensed agent in each
field. They retired in 1994. Elizabeth was a beautiful
lady possessing a personality loved by all. Her charm, wit, generosity
and caring character endeared her to each individual she met. To those
who knew this charming Irish lady please smile when she comes to mind.
She never allowed the travails caused by her experience with Chronic
Fatigue and Fibromyalgia to conquer her ready smile. She will be surely
missed by all.
Her family would ask those who might wish to make
an offering in her memory to consider the Congregational Church in
North Chelmsford, Massachusetts and/or the CFIDS
organization.
Interment and memorial services will be private and at the discretion of the family. Guestbook at www.dolanfuneralhome.com |
