 Mrs.
Doris Alice (Gaudette) Merrill of North Chelmsford died peacefully
Saturday evening, April 12, 2008 surrounded by her loving family and
friends at her home in North Chelmsford, MA after an 8-year courageous
battle with breast cancer.
She was happily married to Mr. Richard G. Merrill with whom she would
have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on May 11,
2008.
Born in Nashua, New Hampshire on December 14, 1947, the daughter of the
late Edward G. and Doris (Stancombe) Gaudette. She was raised
in Chelmsford and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School with the
class of 1965.
She was employed as a cleaning technician with Pony Express Cleaning in
North Chelmsford and more recently with Care Cleaners in Chelmsford
Center.
Doris was an active member of the North Chelmsford Congregational
Church where she also taught Sunday School classes for many years.
Doris loved playing golf and camping especially with family and friends
in Vermont.
Besides her loving husband, Richard, she is survived by two cherished
daughters, Wendy and Kimberly Merrill both of North Chelmsford, three
brothers and two sister-in-law, Kevin and Nancy Gaudette, James and
Babby Gaudette all of Nashua, NH, Bryan Gaudette of North Chelmsford,
two sisters and their husbands, Debra and James Caisse of North
Chelmsford, Cheryl and Robert Boucher of Pepperell, a brother-in-law,
George and his wife Patricia Merrill and their family of N. Chelmsford,
MA two nieces, Elizabeth and Kathryn Caisse, a nephew, Brett Caisse, an
uncle, Herbert Stancombe of Ruskin, FL and several close family friends.
Doris was predeceased by her brother, Wayne Gaudette of North
Chelmsford who died in 1954.

10AM at the N. Chelmsford Congregational Church, Princeton St. N.
Chelmsford. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, N. Chelmsford. Memorials may
be made in her name to the Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center, 295
