Mrs. Patricia Mary Shokum of Chelmsford, MA died
Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell, MA.
She was married to Mr. Leonard J. Shokum with whom she celebrated their 43rd
wedding anniversary in January 2008.
Born in Lowell, MA on July 6, 1927, the daughter of
the late John V. and Mary (O’Hearn) Donoghue. She was a graduate of Notre Dame
Academy in Tyngsboro, MA with the class of 1945. Patricia graduated from Lowell
State College with a Bachelor in Education and attended Emmanuel College.
She taught with the Nashua and Lowell Public Schools.
Patricia loved to knit and spend time with the family.
She was an avid Red Sox fan.
Besides her husband she is survived by one son and
daughter-in-law, Len Shokum and Julie D’Andrea of Melrose, MA, one daughter and
son-in-law, Julie Shokum and Mark Higgins of Lowell, MA, and four grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Anne Finnerty of
Lowell, MA who died in 1974.

2008. Visiting hours Wed. 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Thurs. at 8AM from the DOLAN
FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9AM at St.
John’s Church in N. Chelmsford. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell, MA.
