Mrs. Lucy Fantozzi
of Tynsgsborough, MA formerly of N. Chelmsford, MA died Saturday
afternoon, August 22, 2009 at Palm Manor Nursing Home in Chelmsford, MA.
She was married to the late Mr. John F. Fantozzi who died January 2, 1993. Lucy
was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 23, 1921, the daughter of the late
Thomas and Mary (Steo) Setteducati. She was a high school
graduate of Brooklyn, New York Public Schools.
During WWII she worked with the U.S. Draft Board.
She
was an active communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of N.
Chelmsford, where she was a member of the church’s sodality, the
hospitality and bereavement committees. Lucy was an avid reader and
frequent visitor to the Anna C. Mac Kay Library in N. Chelmsford.
She
is survived by two daughters, Susan and her husband John McMahon of
Windham, NH and Sandra and her husband Michael Wagner of Antioch, CA, a
brother John Sette of Delray, FL, special friend and sister-in-law,
Rita Leo of Chelmsford, two brothers-in-law, Michael Fantozzi and his
wife , Mary, of N. Chelmsford, James Fantozzi of Florida, three
grandchildren, Heather Wagner and her husband, Nick Baarley, and
Hillary Wagner all of Antioch, CA, Kathryn and her husband Richard
Porter of Keene, NH, and many nieces and nephews among them a nephew,
William Behrens and his wife, Carol of Islip, NY, who Lucy grew
especially close to over the years.
She is also survived by
many several close friends, among them, her neighbor, Grace Ann Steed
and Ethel Behrens, with whom she maintained a friendship for more than
80 years.
She was the sister of the late Theresa Behrens of Commack, NY who died in 2003.

22, 2009. Visiting hours Thurs. 3 to 7 pm Funeral Fri. at 10am from the
DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at
11am at St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford. Burial in
Fairview Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in her name to the
Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center 295 Varnum Ave. Lowell, MA 01854.
