Mr. David A.
Tousignant, 56, of Hudson, NH formerly of North Chelmsford, MA lost his
2 year battle with Multiple Myeloma Thursday evening, August 27, 2009
at his home, in Hudson, NH surrounded by his family.
He was happily married to Mrs. Kathleen (LaRoche) Tousignant, with whom
he would have celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary on October 13,
2009.
He was born on January 5, 1953, in Shirley, MA, the son of Phyllis
Colby of N. Chelmsford and the late Armand Tousignant.
David graduated from Chelmsford High School in 1970 and while in school
played football, lifted weights and was on the wrestling team. On the
wrestling team he won State Championship in the 165 pound class and in
1970 was State and New England Champion in the 171 lb class. As an
athlete all his life, he continued to lift weights, and play softball
with his many friends until his recent illness.
He served with the U.S. Air Force Reserves and was honorably discharged
in February of 1977.
A finish carpenter by trade, David owned Country Village Construction
of Chelmsford and enjoyed the company of many, while beautifying homes
with his woodworking skills. His warm personality and sense of humor
endeared him to all who came in contact with him.
Besides his mother and loving wife, Kathy, he is survived by two
daughters, Lauren Tousignant of Hudson, NH and Olivia Tousignant of N.
Chelmsford, MA, two step-sons, Tyler and Derek Michaud both of Hudson,
NH, a brother, Raymond Tousignant of Covington, GA, his mother-in-law,
Aline (Lussier) LaRoche of Phoenix, AZ, two brothers-in-law, Michael
LaRoche of Peoria, AZ, and Chris LaRoche of Peoria, AZ, and two
sisters-in-law, Kimberly and her husband, Robert Alling of Phoenix, AZ
and Lynn and her husband, Gregory Hope of Buckeye, AZ. David is also
survived by many nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his
maternal grandparents, Herbert and Agnes Colby of North Chelmsford.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Richard
DeAmicis, Dr. Murat Anamur, Gerri, Theresa, Meg, and Dave at the Lowell
General Hospital Cancer Center.

Tousignant, David Tousignant of Hudson, NH formerly of North
Chelmsford, MA died August 27, 2009. Visiting Hours are Wed. 4 to
5:30PM followed by a memorial service at 5:30PM in the DOLAN FUNERAL
HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD. Memorials may be made in his name to
