 Mrs.
Vivian Alberta (Benoit) Weldon an 80-year resident of Lowell died
Monday, August 11, 2008 at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell.
She was married to the late Mr. Alfred L. Weldon who died February 12,
1995.
Born and raised in Lowell on August 29, 1919, the daughter of the late
Mederic and Clarine (Brown) Benoit. She was a graduate of
Lowell High School with the class of 1937.
She was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Church in Lowell, the former
St. Peter’s Church also in Lowell and St. Catherine’s Church of
Westford.
She was an avid card player especially cribbage and also enjoyed
bowling and spending quality time with family and friends, especially
her six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Joanne Weldon
of Amherst, NH, two daughters, Virginia Toupin of Littleton, MA, Carole
Berkow of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, a brother and sister-in-law, Leslie
and Dorothy Benoit of Lowell, a sister, Evelyn Holland of Chelmsford,
six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and
close family friends.
She was the Mother-in law of the late Raymond Toupin of Westford,
Melvin Berkow of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, sister of the late Waldo
Benoit of Lowell, Lloyd Benoit of N. Chelmsford, Margaret Bakke of
Lowell, Althea Thompson of Dracut.
FUNERAL NOTICE
WELDON, Vivian A. (Benoit) Weldon of Lowell died Aug. 11 2008. Visiting
hours Wed. 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Thurs. at 9AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL
HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10AM at St.
Catherine’s Church, Westford. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell.
