Grace R. (Antonelli) Carty, 92,
of Lowell died Monday December 28, 2009 at the Lowell General Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Charles D. Carty, II who died December 14,
1970.
Grace was born in Somerville, MA on August 18, 1917, the daughter of
the late John and Adelina (Copilatti) Antonelli. A resident of Lowell
for over 73 years, she worked as an Inspector at New Knit of Lowell and
retired in 1981 from the Lowell Dress Co.
She enjoyed watching her son bowl in tournaments, eating out at nice
restaurants and spending time with her family.
Grace was a member of the First United Baptist Church on Church St. in
Lowell.
She is survived by two sons, Walter F. Carty, and Charles D. and his
wife Linda Carty III, all of Lowell; four brothers, John and his wife,
Dorothy Antonelli of Westford, MA, Henry and his wife, Lorraine
Antonelli of Hudson, NH, Louis Antonelli of NH, and Arthur Antonelli of
Acton, MA; three sisters, Mary and her husband Richard Rogers, Rose and
her husband Arthur Bielefeld both of Stockton, CA and Helen Nei of
Harvard, MA; six grandchildren, Rhonda Dunning, Coe Carty, Lisa and her
husband, Gary Everhardt, Darren Carty, Jill and her husband, Greg Beal
and Craig Carty; a step grandchild, Donna Lacey; 12 great
grandchildren, 1 great great-grandson; many nieces and nephews.
Grace was predeceased by her brothers Frederick Antonelli, Doro
Antonelli, Charles Antonelli, and Peter Antonelli.

Visiting hours are Monday 3 to 7 PM. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106
MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, MA 01863. Funeral Tuesday in the Funeral Home
at 11:00AM. Burial in Westlawn II Cemetery, Boston Rd. Lowell. For
those that wish, contributions in her memory may be made to First
