Helen (Kotowski) Gurecki, 94,
entered into eternal rest on Tuesday December 29, 2009 at the Palm
Manor Nursing Home in Chelmsford. She was a former resident of
Arlington before moving to Chelmsford.
She was the wife of the late Mitchell Gurecki who died in 1987.
Helen was born in Cambridge, MA, the daughter of the late Leon and Mary
(Grigutis) Kotowski. She graduated from Medford High School and Burdett
Business College.
Helen worked for many years as an Executive Secretary for Barry Wright
Corporation in Waltham. She was also a member of the Red Cross during
the war.
Mrs. Gurecki was a very talented knitter and shared her talents with
everyone she knew. She enjoyed spending time with her dear family and
friends.
She is survived by her children and their spouses; Robert and Barbara
(Wilson) Gurecki of Dunstable, MA and Jean (Gurecki) Jacoppi and Joseph
Jacoppi of Tyngsboro, MA; four grandchildren, Cara (Jacoppi) Taylor and
her husband, James of Tamworth, NH, Pamela (Gurecki) Murphy and her
husband, David of Plymouth, MA; Lisa and Andrea Gurecki of Arlington,
MA; four great grandchildren, Sophia Taylor, Sean, Matthew and Mitchell
Murphy.
She was the sister of the late Harry Kotowski and the grandmother of
the late James Jacoppi.

on Dec. 29, 2009. Visitation is Wed. morning from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00
a.m. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD,MA 01863
with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 at St. Kathryn’s Church 6 Dracut Road,
Hudson, NH. Private Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington, MA. In
lieu of flowers, contribution in her memory may be made to James
Jacoppi Memorial Scholarship Foundation c/o Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union,
