Obituary for

John M. Jasinski

of North Chelmsford

 
John M. Jasinski, 76, of N. Chelmsford, MA, died suddenly of a heart attack on Monday, December 28, 2009 at Lowell General Hospital.
    
He was married to Ute (Hinterthan) Jasinski with whom he celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 1.
    
Born in Baltimore, MD, on February 22, 1933, he was the son of the late John M. and Mary (Stach) Jasinski. He was raised in Baltimore, MD, and graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic High School, Class of 1951. He attended Johns Hopkins University and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico in 1960. John earned his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1974 from the Air Force Institute of Technology.

John served with the US Air Force for over 26 years before retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 1981.  During his years of service, he received many awards, including the Combat Readiness Medal, Air Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal.
    
After leaving the Service, he continued his career as a National Defense Contractor. 
   
He loved to travel in his motor home. He was an avid reader, who also enjoyed gardening, sailing, and playing bridge.
    
He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Chelmsford.
    
Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, Michael Jasinski of Westford, MA; David Jasinski and his wife, Amy of Rochester, NY; Stephen Jasinski and his wife Amy of Shirley, MA; Robert Jasinski and his wife Anne of Cincinnati, OH; a daughter, Deborah MacDougall and her husband, Ronald of Uxbridge, MA; three sisters, Theresa Zerhusen of Baltimore, MD; Mary Frances Pipkin and her husband, John of Baltimore, MD; and Sister Rose Marie Jasinski, CBS of Fairlawn, NJ; seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Joseph, Kevin, and Brian MacDougall; Jonathan, Nikole and Devon Jasinski; and many nieces and nephews.

Jasinski, John M. Jasinski of North Chelmsford died Dec. 28, 2009. Visiting hours Sunday 2:00-6:00 PM. Funeral Monday at 8:00 AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD,MA 01863 with a funeral Mass at 9:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church in Chelmsford. Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
