Dorothy A. (Ramsey)
Kinney, 85, of Chelmsford, MA beloved wife, mother and grandmother
passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren on
Tuesday December 8, 2009 at her daughter’s home in Dracut, MA after an
extended illness.
She was married to the late Milton H. Kinney Sr. for over 53 years, who passed away on July 20, 1993.
Dorothy
was born August 20, 1924 the daughter of the late Archibald and Mary A.
(McCormack) Ramsey. She grew up in Lowell and graduated from the
Butler High School of Lowell with the Class of 1942.
A
life long resident of Chelmsford, Dorothy loved spending time with her
15 children, 35 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. She enjoyed
vacationing in NH and Florida with them.
Dorothy loved
shopping, ballroom dancing, swimming and roller-skating. She was very
active in local charitable events for veterans.
She is
survived by ten sons and their wives, Ronald and Shirley Jacques, John
and Joyce Kinney, Milton “Mike” Jr. and Beth Kinney, Richard and Kathy
Kinney, Robert and Marcie Kinney, Alfred Kinney and partner Sandy
Gervais, Scott and Martha Kinney, Francis and Jackie Kinney, Ronald and
Kim Kinney, Mark and Charlene Kinney; five daughters and their
husbands, Diana and Wes Beckwith, Brenda and Bob LeClair, Charlotte and
Charles Reed, Anna and Mark Corey, Robin and Dennis Chaisson; two
sisters, Teresa Kinney and Phyllis Casalleto; two brothers, William
Ramsey, Donald and his wife Barbara Ramsey; two special nieces, Carlene
Coulouras and Patricia Mapahoi.
She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond Ramsey and two sisters, Virginia Nolan and Maureen Alhborn
