Mrs.
Gertrude R. (Descheneaux) (Wikander) Pintal, 92, of Dracut, died Sunday
December 27, 2009 at the D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell, MA.
She
was married to the late Mr. Oke R. Wikander, who died in 1977 and Mr.
Raymond Pintal, who died in 1989.
Born
in Tyngsboro, on Oct. 6, 1917, the daughter of the late Omer and Laura
(Roy) Descheneaux. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with
the class of 1936, and the Lowell Business College.
She
was employed with Laughton's Garden Center in North Chelmsford, Sears
& Roebuck Dept. Store in Lowell, Joseph's Beauty Shop, and J.M.
Fields Dept. Store in Chelmsford, as an Office Manager.
She
was a communicant of the St. Mary Magdalen Church of Tyngsboro, and
formerly a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of North
Chelmsford where she sang in the Choir.
She was a member of the Dracut Council on Aging, the Dracut Senior Citizens Club, and the A.C.A. in Manchester, NH.
She
is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Ronald and Diane
(Ericksen) Wikander of Mineral Bluff, GA, and Carl and Elaine (Farell)
Wikander of Lancaster, MA, three daughters and sons-in-law, Marlene
Moreau and fiancé, Paul Boyd of Coventry, RI, Charlene and her husband
Hank Phelps of Gloucester, MA and Wanda and Stephen Hartigan of
Tyngsboro, a step-son and his wife, Gerard and Marguerite (Fitzgerald)
Pintal of Dracut, a step-daughter, Doris Beausoleil of Dracut, a
sister, Grace Hamel of Dracut, 30 grandchildren and step grandchildren,
35 great-grandchildren and step great grandchildren, and many nieces
and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Omer, Albert,
Raymond, Arthur, Leo, Emile, Victor, Joseph Descheneaux, Yvette
Brassard all of Lowell, and the late Doris Bath of Fountain, CO.
She was the mother-in-law to the late Stephen Moreau.

2009. Visiting hours Tues. 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Wed. at 9AM from
the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral
Mass at 10AM at the St. Mary Magdalen Church, Tyngsboro. Burial in
Riverside Cemetery, North Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in
her memory to D’Youville Senior Care Center, 981 Varnum Ave., Lowell,
