 Robert “Bob” R.
Connor Jr, 88, of Atkinson, NH died February 19, 2009 in Atkinson, NH
at the home of his daughter.
He was married to the late Louise (Bryson) Connor who died July 22,
2006 after 61 years of marriage.
Born in Waltham, MA on February 14, 1921, the son of the late Robert R.
and Bernadette (Marchand) Connor, Sr. He was a graduate of Waltham High
School with the class of 1940.
He served with the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII.
Bob was employed for over 50 years with Boston Gas and Keyspan Energy
until his retirement in 1998.
He was a communicant and former usher at St. John the Evangelist Church
of Chelmsford for many years.
He was a member of the Chelmsford Senior Citizens Club, American Legion
Post #462 in Waltham, the United Mine Workers Union of America Local
#332 and a member of SarahCare in Hampstead, NH.
He is survived by a son, Robert “Chuck” Connor, III of Lunenburg, MA; a
daughter, Joyce (Connor) Flinn-Dawson and her husband John of Atkinson,
one granddaughter, Corlese Todd and her husband, Josh of Arlington, MA;
2 step grandchildren, Gregg Dawson and Marcie Leamy both of Salem, NH;
two step great grandchildren; a brother in-law and two sisters in-law,
Peter and Georgia Tracey, and Margaret Valelly all of Waltham as well
as several close friends.
He was the father of the late Cheryl D. (Connor) Fiedler of Boston, the
brother of the late Russell M. Connor of Waltham, Helen (Connor) Mullin
of Auburndale, MA, brother in-law of the late Phyllis and Roger LeBlanc
of Falmouth, MA and the late Warren Valelly of Waltham, MA.

Funeral Mass Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church
in N. Chelmsford, MA. Visiting hours Sat. morning 9:00 to
10:30 a.m. in the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD.
Burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in his
name to the NH Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association 1 Bedford Farms
