Obituary for

Alfredo J. DiSanto

Westford

Alfredo J. DiSanto of Westford, MA died Friday, February 19, 2010 at Wingate at Reading after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

He was married to Mary Etta (Pomeroy) DiSanto with whom he celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on January 5th. 
  
Born in Everett, MA on December 16, 1924, the son of the late Louis and Angelina (Galasso) DiSanto. He was raised and educated in Everett.

During World War II, he served in the US Army as a Private First Class in the Detachment Medical Dept. SCU 1977 focusing on critical wounds and assisting amputees with recovery challenges.

A long time resident of Westford, Alfredo worked as a manager with the A&P Supermarkets for over 35 years. After retiring, He worked with the US Postal Service as a Special Carrier in Wakefield until 1983 and later worked part time  at Aristonics in Wakefield until 1993, retiring due to illness.

Alfredo enjoyed singing, dancing and get togethers with family and friends. He especially enjoyed working.

He was a member of the Chelmsford Elks and The Woodman of the World.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons and their wives, Randolph A. and Janet DiSanto of The Villages, FL, David J. and Karen DiSanto of Burlington, MA; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

DiSanto, Alfredo of Westford, MA died February 19, 2010. Visiting hours Sunday 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Monday at 8:00 a.m. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. N.CHELMSFORD,MA 01863 with a funeral Mass at 9:00 a.m. at St John the Evangelist, North Chelmsford. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford. Memorials may be made in his name to the Michael J.
