Ms. Helen (Panagiotacopoulos) Fascione of North
Chelmsford died peacefully Friday afternoon, February
15, 2008 at her home. She was born on April 20, 1939
and raised in Lowell, the daughter of the late Christos
and Eugenia (Rallis) Panagiotacopoulos. She was educated
in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School with
the class of 1956.
Helen was employed as an Office Administrative
Assistant for more than 20 years with the Mitre
Corporation at the Hanscom Air Base in Bedford, MA until
her retirement in July of 2007.
She was a past communicant of St. Margaret’s Church
in Lowell.
Helen, known as “Grammie” was happiest spending
quality time with her cherished six grandchildren and
one great-grandchild. She enjoyed attending the movies
and following the Grammy Awards. Another, favorite
pastime was baking for family and friends. She also
enjoyed dining at her favorite restaurant, “Good Thymes”
in Lowell. The last eighteen years of her life were
taken one day at a time.
She is survived by her two loving sons, and a
daughter-in-law, Arthur P. and Timalie (Glencross)
Fascione of Dracut, Paul Fascione of Pelham, NH, a
brother and sister-in-law, John P. and Karen Cunningham
of Lowell, six sisters, Betty McLellan of Waltham,
Sandy Carroll of Chelmsford, Sophia Rallis of
Hancock, NH, Andrea Zwicker of Dracut, Ginny Abisi of
Nashua, NH, and Julie Cunningham of Lowell, her dear
friend referred fondly as Aunt Judith Yunghans, four
grandchildren, Lindsey J. Fascione, Jacob C. Fascione,
Sophia B. Fascione and Mary F. Fascione all of Dracut,
Christopher Johnson and Eric Johnson both of Lowell one
great-grandchild, Jayna Johnson of Lowell, as well as
several nieces, nephews and close family friends.
Helen was the sister of the late Pat Campbell of
Lowell who passed away in 1992.
FUNERAL NOTICE
FASCIONE, Helen Fascione of N. Chelmsford died February
15, 2008. Visiting hours WED. 1 to 3 PM and 5 to 7 PM
followed by her Funeral Service at 7 PM at the DOLAN
FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD. Cremation
will follow. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in
Helen’s name to the American Diabetes Association 330
