Obituary for

James E. Holland

Of Lowell

Mr. James Edwin Holland, 68, of Lowell died early Friday morning, February 13, 2009 at Lowell General Hospital.

Born in Medford, MA on April 9, 1940, the son of the late Franklin B. and Doris (Cunningham) Holland. He grew up in Malden and attended Malden public schools.

In his early years he worked with various First National Stores and later as a custodian with Greater Lowell Vocational Technical High School for 23 years. He was a member of the Lowell Elks Club and the East End Social Club.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of Chelmsford, MA.

He is survived by his sister, Pamela Merrill with whom he made his home in Lowell; two brothers and their wives, Franklin Jr. and Carol Holland of Atkinson NH, Robert and Linda Holland of Lantana FL, his brother-in-law S.A. Browning of Pittsburgh PA, multiple cousins, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

He was the brother of the late Blanche Browning of Pittsburgh PA.

James will be deeply missed for his quick sense of humor.
