Obituary for

Patricia Archambault

of Lowell, MA

 
Mrs. Patricia (Dusting) Archambault of Lowell, MA died Sunday, January 3, 2010 unexpectedly at Saints Medical Center in Lowell, MA.
        
She was married in England to the late Mr. Robert R. Archambault who died in 1998, and was Lowell’s first War bride.    
        
Patricia was born in England in 1925, the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Ellen (Flynn) Dusting.  She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in England with the class of 1941. She attended Business School and was employed as a Secretary for a major shipping company when WWII began.
        
Following World War II Patricia immigrated to the United States on the Queen Mary’s maiden voyage and was a member of the ship’s Salty Six. She was employed with the Lowell School System as a cook and cafeteria manager at Lowell High School until her retirement in 1991. She served as a union steward and negotiator for many years.
        
She was a Lifelong communicant of St. Margaret’s Church of Lowell.
        
Patricia was an active member of the Lowell and Tewksbury senior citizens clubs.  She enjoyed reading, playing cards and had a wonderful sense of humor.  Patricia was a kind, caring and loving mother and grandmother who loved her family and circle of close family friends.
        
She is survived by two sons, Robert T. Archambault of Lowell, MA, Stephen E. and his wife, Leisa Archambault of Falmouth, ME, a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne M. and Adam Sgouros of Hudson, NH, a sister, Ann Reynolds of Plymouth, England, five grandchildren, Bryan Archambault of Amherst, NH, Michael and Jason Archambault both of Dracut, MA, Dylan Archambault of Chelmsford, MA and Brett Archambault of Maine, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

ARCHAMBAULT, Mrs. Patricia (Dusting) Archambault of Lowell, MA died Jan. 3, 2010.  Visiting hours Thurs. 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Fri. at 9:00 from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10:00 at St. Margaret’s Church in Lowell. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chelmsford.
