 Mr.
James J. Bowes Jr., 58, died early Saturday, January 26,
2008 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH after a
courageous battle with cancer.He was married to Mrs.
Carol B. (Gordon) Bowes with whom he celebrated their 16th
wedding anniversary on September 28, 2007.
He was born in Stoneham, MA on December 9, 1949, the
son of the late James J. and Abbie T. (McGurl) Bowes.
He was a graduate of Arlington Catholic High School with
the class of 1967. Jim graduated from Northeastern
University with the class of 1972 with a Bachelor in
Science in Business Management and Finance, and in 1974
he graduated from Boston College with a Masters in
Business Administration.
He was employed with Raytheon of Andover, MA for 35
years.
He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist
Church of N. Chelmsford, MA.
Jim loved to spend time with his family in Ogunquit,
ME, and enjoyed boating and golfing.
Besides his loving and devoted wife, he is survived
by two daughters, Brittany and Hannah Bowes of Dunstable,
MA, two step-children Lee Wiitala of California and
Monique Wiitala of Somerville, MA, a sister and
brother-in-law, Patricia and John Callahan of Boxford,
MA, and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Daniel and
Janine Bowes of Houston, TX, and Gerard and Donna Bowes
of Hudson, NH. Jim is also survived by many nieces and
nephews as well as several close friends.

CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9AM at St. John the
Evangelist Church of N. Chelmsford, MA. Burial in
Central Cemetery, Dunstable. Memorials may be made in
his name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St.,
