Obituary for

John J. Butterfield

of Dunstable

Mr. John “Jack” J. Butterfield of Dunstable, MA died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness.

He was married to Mrs. Ann J. (Davis)(Chartier) Butterfield with whom he would have celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary on April 5, 2009.    

Jack was born in Camden, NJ on April 4, 1930, the son of the late John M. and Marie (Williams) Butterfield. 

He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Jack retired from Coulter Systems Corp of Woburn, MA.

He was a ballot clerk for the Town of Dunstable.

He was a member of the Dunstable Grange, and enjoyed politics and dining out at local restaurants.  Jack was an avid newspaper reader who enjoyed staying current with world events.

He loved to play cribbage and do woodworking.

Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, a sister, and many nieces and nephews.  Jack will be missed by his family and several close friends.
