Mrs. Barbara K. Marcouillier of
Westford, MA died late Wednesday night, January 6, 2010 at Lowell
General Hospital in Lowell, MA after a long illness.
She was married to Mr. Leonell Marcouillier with whom she would have
celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on May 5, 2010.
Born in Lowell, MA on November 26, 1931, the daughter of the late
Wallace and Catherine (Monahan) Young. She was a graduate of
Westford Academy with the class of 1949.
Barbara retired in 1989 from Digital Computers of Maynard, MA.
She was a communicant of St. Catherine Church of Westford, MA.
She was a member of the Chelmsford Senior Citizens. Barbara
loved to travel to Canada and Florida, especially Disney World.
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Betsy and her
husband, Daniel Valley of Westford, MA, four sisters-in-law, Rita and
her husband, James Whigham of Nashua, NH, Rose Marcouillier of
Westford, MA, Ann Viellette of Moorhead City, NC, and Rosalie Young of
Groton, MA, a brother-in-law, Larry Marcouillier of Harrington, DE, and
a grandson, Damian Valley of Westford, MA. Barbara was also
survived by many nieces and nephews as well as several close friends.
Barbara’s brother, Dwight Young of Groton, MA died on the same day as
Barbara, January 6, 2010.
FUNERAL NOTICE
MARCOUILLIER, Mrs. Barbara K. Marcouillier of Westford, MA died Jan. 6,
2010. Wake will be Sat. 9 to 10AM followed by her funeral
service at 10AM at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD.
Burial in St. Catherine Cemetery, Westford, MA. Memorials may be made
in her name to the Westford Ambulance Fund, Inc. P.O. Box 197,
Westford, MA. 01886 or the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St.,
