 Mr. William Clifton Mills of
Lowell, MA passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at D’Youville
Senior Care Center in Lowell, MA.
He was married to the late Jeanne R. (Bienvenue) Mills who died
September, 1999.
William was born in Lowell, MA on March 8, 1919 the son of Charles and
Gertrude (Mills) Dane. William a graduate of Lowell High
School with the class of 1936.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II in which he earned the
Purple Heart.
He was retired from MIT Lincoln Lab in Lexington, MA where he worked as
a senior stock clerk in this research business.
William was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Lowell, MA
He was a member the Holy Family Parish.
His favorite past times were gardening and fishing, and was an avid
sports fan.
He is survived by a son, Leonard “Lenny” Mills and his wife, Joan of
North Chelmsford, MA; a daughter, Charlene Galante and her husband
Michael of Lowell MA; five grandchildren, Stacy Mahan and her husband,
Keith, David Mills and his wife, Anne Marie, Suzanne Allen and her
husband, Michael, Timothy Mills and his wife, Cortney, Michael Galante
Jr., and Joseph Kinney; and four great grandchildren, Kevin Allen,
Christopher Allen, Emma Anne Allen and Hunter Mahan.

Visiting hours Wed. 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Thurs. at 10AM from
the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral
Mass at 11AM at Holy Family Parish in Lowell, MA. Burial in St. Joseph
Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in his name to the Greater
