 Mr.
Joseph Sousa Amorin, 75, formerly of Arlington,MA died Friday July 4,
2008, at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford, MA.
Born in Arlington, MA on August 31, 1932, the son of the late John S.
and Maria (Perriera) Amorin. He was raised in Arlington and
graduated from Arlington High School with the class of 1951.
He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS
Edisto. He earned the rank of GM3 and was honorably discharged in 1954.
A resident of Lowell for over 40 years, He was the owner and operator
of Joseph’s Hair Fashions in the Nabnassett section of Westford for
more than 50 years.
Joseph was a devoted catholic who was a communicant of St. John the
Evangelist Church in Chelmsford, St. Margaret’s Church in Lowell, MA
and St. William’s Church in Tewksbury.
He was a life long member of the American Legion Post 39 of Arlington.
He is survived by his step-mother, Natalie Amorin of Arlington, MA, a
brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Edna Amorin of Woburn, MA, many
dear friends including the Podgur Family of Nashua, NH, as well as many
nieces, nephews.
He was the brother of the late John Amorin, Jr. , Alice, Lucy, and Mary
“Maimie”.
FUNERAL NOTICE
AMORIN, Joseph Sousa Amorin of Lowell, formerly of Arlington, MA died
July 4, 2008. It being Joe’s request there are No Calling Hours.
Funeral Mass Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at St. John’s Church in N.
Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in Joe’s memory to the One Company
Fund c/o Nashua Crossing 674 W. Hollis St. Nashua, NH 03062.
