Francis Joseph
Donohoe Jr., 68, of Lowell died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at
his home.
Born in Lowell, MA on March 7, 1941, he was the son of the late Francis
and Louise (Pollard) Donohoe. A life-long resident of Lowell, he
graduated from Lowell High School with the Class of 1958 and attended
Lowell Technological Institute.
During the 1960’s Francis served in the US Army in the Panama Canal
Zone. He worked as a printer at Courier Printing Co. in Lowell for many
years.
In his younger years, he was an avid golfer and a life-long Boston
Sports fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Lowell.
He is survived by a brother, James S. Donohoe, Ed.D of Lowell; a
sister, Louise D. Kavanagh of Westford; nieces and nephews, Kathleen
and Andrew O’Brien of N. Kingston, RI, Maura Kavanagh of Hudson, MA,
Brian and Dr. Marsha Kavanagh, MD of Durham, NH, Sheila and Matthew
Ouellette of Danvers, Todd and Liisa Donohoe of Webster, Kerry F.
Donohoe, Ed.D of Haverhill, MA and James S. Jr. and Denise Donohoe of
Lowell, MA; seven grand nieces and nephews, Maureen and Meghan O’Brien,
Sean and Kevin Ouellette, Marlee and Rori Donohoe, and Haley
Kavanagh. He was also survived by a close friend and former
neighbor, Tommy McCullough of New Hampshire.

Visiting hours are Sunday 4 to 8:00 p.m. in the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106
MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, MA. Funeral Monday at 10:00 a.m. from the
Funeral Home with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception
Church 3 Fayette St. Lowell, MA. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in
