Mrs. Mary Juliette
(Griffin) Hirbour of Lowell, MA died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at
D’Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell, MA.
She was married to the late Normand G. Hirbour who died November 13,
1994.
Born in Lowell, MA on September 2, 1920, the daughter of the late
Stephen A. and Mary (Cashman) Griffin. She was a graduate of
Keith Hall High School with the class of 1938, and Lowell Commercial
College with the class of 1940.
Mary retired in 1982 from Combustion Engineering, Inc of Newington,
NH. She worked previously at Alan Gerson Bedding Co. of
Lowell, MA, and Raytheon Corp. of S. Lowell, MA.
She was a communicant of St. Margaret Church of Lowell, MA.
She was a past member of League of Catholic Women.
She is survived by two cousins, Rita McGeown of N. Chelmsford, MA,
Marie (Foisy) Kurys of Lexington, MA a sister-in-law, Patricia Griffin
of Bedford, NH, nieces and nephews, Patricia Griffin of Lawrenceville,
GA, Marybeth and Bill Marsh of Springboro, OH, Joseph and Maureen
Griffin of Merrimack, NH, Martha and George Sanford of Mt. Pleasant, TX
and Stephen and Christina Griffin of Concord, NH.
She was the sister of the late Joseph R. Griffin of Lowell who died
January 26, 1973.
