Mrs. Ourania (Tsilioni) Macrina
of Westford, MA died Wednesday morning, June 11, 2008 surrounded by her
loving
family at the Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
She was married to the late Mose
Macrina who died on April 17, 1966.
Born in Thessaly,
Greece
on April 10, 1914, the daughter of the late Constantine and Theodora
Tsilioni.
She was raised and educated in Greece.
In 1951, she came to the US
and settled in Westford,
MA.
Mrs. Macrina worked as a presser
at Hathaway Shirt Co and Jay Dress Co. in Lowell
before retiring at the age of 62. She was active in the Cameron
Senior
Center
and the Adult
Supportive Day Program both in Westford.
She was a member of the Holy
Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Lowell.
She is survived by her twin
daughters and their husbands, Theresa and Anthony Gemmellaro of
Westford and
Mary and Thomas Themeles of Westford, MA; four grandchildren, Nicholas
and his
wife Marian Themeles of Tyngsboro, Andrew Themeles of Westford, Peter
Gemmellaro of Boston and Stephanie Gemmellaro of Westford; several
nieces and
nephews in Greece.
She was predeceased by 1 brother
and 2 sisters in Greece.
