Kathryn “Kitty”
(Kennedy) Martino, 76, of Nashua, NH died Monday June 29, 2009 at
Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.
She was the former wife of the late Louis A. Martino.
Born in Charlestown, MA on Feb. 12, 1933, she was the daughter of the
late Joseph and Mary (Fralick) Kennedy. She was a graduate of Lowell
High School with the Class of 1950 and served as Girl Officer.
Kathryn worked as a bookkeeper for many years in the high-tech industry
(including Accutest of Chelmsford) and worked as staff secretary for
five years at the Tewksbury Hospital before retiring in 1999.
A devoted loving mom, Kitty enjoyed spending time with her children and
grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting and playing cribbage.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and member of
the East End Ladies Auxiliary Club of Lowell.
She is survived by four daughters, Kathryn “Katie” Racicot and her
fiancé, Chris Landry of Nashua, NH, Maura Martino of Nashua, NH, Donna
Connolly of Tewksbury, MA and Colleen Moulds of Richmond, VA; a son and
two daughters-in-law, Daniel and Kathleen (Fahey) Martino of Lancaster,
CA and Rita Martino of Wrentham, MA; two sisters, Jesse Kennedy of
Lowell, MA and Josephine Karner of Wells, ME; brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law, Emmet Millett of Tewksbury, MA, Albert and Delores
Martino of Port Richey, FL, Henry and Delores Martino of Farmington,
NH, Richard and Nancy Martino of Windham, NH and Gloria Poirier of
Newburyport, MA; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many
nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Brian L. Martino who died August 1991
of Wrentham, MA, her son in-law, Charles Racicot who died July 1992 of
Nashua, NH; three sisters, Mary Millett, Louise York and Anne Brooks.
FUNERAL NOTICE
MARTINO, Kathryn (Kennedy) Martino of Nashua, NH formerly of
Chelmsford, MA died June 29, 2009. There are no Visiting hours. Funeral
Mass will be Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church
115 Middlesex St. North Chelmsford, MA 01863. Burial in Fairview
Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to the St. Jude Children’s
Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. ARRANGEMENTS BY
