Mrs. Dorothy L. (Cotterly)
McGann, 78, of Tyngsboro,
MA
died June 7, 2008 at home.
She
was married to Mr. Robert M. McGann
with whom she would have celebrated their 49th
wedding anniversary
on July 24, 2008.
Dorothy
was born in Cambridge,
MA
on August 3, 1929,
the daughter of the late Harold F. Cotterly and Edith (Puddister)
Cotterly. She was a
graduate of
Cambridge High and Latin School
with the class of
1946.
She
was employed with Lahey Clinic for 23 years until retiring in 1991.
She
was a communicant of St. Mary Magdalen
Church of Tyngsboro, MA.
She
was a member of the Tyngsboro Senior
Citizen's Club.
Besides
her husband she is survived by her
son and his wife, John C. and Sherril (Van Vleet) McGann of Chelmsford,
and a
daughter and her husband, Edith (McGann) and Robert Jones of Tyngsboro,
three
sisters-in-law, Marie D. and her husband Gordon Janvrin of Hampton
Falls, NH,
Pauline Wreck of Peterborough, NH, and Mary (Sarni) Cotterly of
Waltham, five
grandchildren, Jennifer L. McGann of North Reading, Heather E. and Evan
J.
McGann, and Jennifer Mahoney all of Chelmsford, MA, and Matthew R.
Jones of
Tyngsboro. Dorothy
is also survived by a
great granddaughter, Gabrielle Stryker, as well as many nieces and
nephews.
She
was the sister of the late Herbert F.,
George J., Donald, Harold F., and Walter L. Cotterly.

Funeral Thurs. at 9 AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST.
CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10 AM at St.
Mary Magdalen Church. Burial in Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery,
Tyngsboro.
