Pamela (Holland)
Merrill, 65, of Lowell died Thursday June 11, 2009 at Lowell General
Hospital.
Born in Medford, MA on Oct. 19, 1943,she was the daughter of the late
Franklin B. and Doris (Cunningham) Holland. She was raised in Medford
and graduated from Westford Academy with the Class of 1961.
Pamela worked as a bookkeeper at the Greater Lowell Technical High
School for many years before retiring. She lived in Chelmsford for many
years before moving to Lowell.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in North
Chelmsford. Pamela was an avid book reader.
She is survived by a daughter and son in-law, Patricia “Patty” and
Gordon Menear of Dracut, MA; a son Michael Merrill and his longtime
girlfriend, Christine “Tina” Postie of Drifton, PA; a brother and two
sisters in-law, Franklin and Carol Holland of Atkinson, NH and Linda
Holland of Lantana, FL; a brother in-law, Swanson Browning of OH; five
grandchildren, Amanda and Michael Merrill, Brandon Postie, Jeanetta and
Thomas Menear; a great grandson, Jakob Tourville; many nieces and
nephews. Pamela is also survived by Ellen “Beckie” Cory who
also helped care for Pam.
She was the sister of the late James Holland of Lowell who died Feb.
13, 2009, the late Robert Holland Jr. who died April 11, 2009 of
Lantana, FL and the late Blanche Browning of Pittsburg, PA.

MERRILL, Pamela (Holland) Merrill of Lowell, MA formerly of Chelmsford
and Westford, MA, died June 11, 2009. Visiting hours Sunday 5 to 8 pm
in the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD. Funeral Monday
at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, North
