 Mr. Gerald Peter
Ward of Sanderson, Florida died June 17, 2009 in Jacksonville, Florida
after a motor vehicle accident.
He was married to Mrs. Frances (Griffin) Ward with whom he would have
celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on June 21, 2009.
Born in Lowell, MA on April 21, 1952, the son of the late George and
Elizabeth (Sheehan) Ward. Mr. Ward was raised in Lowell and
attended Lowell Public Schools.
He served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Ward was self employed for many years and the owner and operator of
Ward Painting.
He was a past communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of
Chelmsford, MA, and St. Catherine’s Church in Westford, MA.
He was a gun enthusiast who enjoyed shooting shotguns.
Besides his wife, Frances, he is survived by a daughter and son in-law
Renee Ward and Wayne Thompson of Jacksonville, FL; four brothers and
their wives, George and Alice Ward, Jr., of Lowell, MA, James and
Marianne Ward of Jacksonville, FL, Daniel and Kathy Ward of Pelham, NH,
William and Deborah Ward of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters and
brother-in-law, Mary and Mel Gray of Newbury, MA and Sharon Lane of
Sanderson, FL; two cherished grandchildren, Eric and Kristi White both
of Jacksonville, FL; a former son-in-law, Jerry White of Jacksonville,
FL, and a very close friend, Paul Durant, who survived the accident,
which claimed the life of Mr. Ward and another friend, Daniel Burke of
Lowell, MA.
He was the brother of the late Elizabeth Ducharme who died April 17,
1995 of Lowell, MA and, he was the brother-in-law of the late Paul
Fasolino who died in September of 2008, David Fasolino who died in
2009, and Frank Lane of Lowell who died October 25, 2003. He
was the son-in-law to the late Albert and Florence Griffin of Westford,
MA.
FUNERAL NOTICE
WARD, Gerald P. Ward of Sanderson, FL, died June 17, 2009. Visiting
hours Tuesday 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Wednesday at 8 a.m. from the DOLAN
FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9
a.m. at St. John’s Church, N. Chelmsford. Burial in St. Catherine’s
