Mrs. Rose A. (Parese) Blake of Chelmsford died Tuesday March 7, 2006 surrounded by her family.

Born in Staten Island, NY on March 23, 1920, the daughter of the late James and Anna (Farina) Parese. She graduated from Curtis High School in New York with the class of 1937. She moved her family to Chelmsford in 1958.

She was employed with Highland Cleaners, Lowell, JM Fields and Caldors Department stores in Chelmsford until her retirement in 1987.

She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford. Her life was her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son and daughter in-law, John F. Blake III and his wife Cynthia (Banks) Blake of Litchfield, NH; a daughter and son in-law; Arlene Blake and her husband, Russell (Butch) Linstad of Chelmsford, MA; four grandchildren, Christina (Blake) Beauschense and her husband Eric of Chelmsford, Patricia (Blake) Leger and her Husband Edward of Lawrence, Pamela Linstad and David Linstad of Chelmsford; 2 great grandchildren, Jack and Mia Roase Beauchense; 8 step grandchildren, including Todd Terrien and his fiancée Amy Waszeciak, Amy (Terrien) and Manny Mangansis of NH, Brett Terrien of Boston, and Russell and Allyson (Nicoli) Linstad Jr of Messina, NY; 5 great step grandchildren; a sister and brother in-law, Elizabeth (Parese) and James Pucciarelli of Staten Island, NY; a brother in-law, James Ulrich of Staten island, NY; 2 sisters in-law, Katherine Parese and Mildred Parese of Staten, NY; many beloved nieces and nephews located in Arizona, Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY, Old Bridge, NJ and West Palm, FL and N. Carolina; Her caretaker and friend Cathy Docette and all her friends at Delaney Terrace, N. Chelmsford.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Raphael, John and Nicholas Parese all of NY, Grace Platte of NJ and Anna Ulrich of NY. She was the former wife of the late John F. Blake Jr.
