Mrs. Josephine M. DeMita, 99, formerly of Belmont, MA died Monday, March 9, 2009 at the Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen, MA.
She was married to the late Mr. Enrico DeMita who died in 1992.
Josephine was born in Watertown, MA on May 26, 1909, the daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Luca) Arone.
She was a former communicant of St. Jerome Church of Belmont, MA.
She
is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Marie and Edward
Lombardi of Hampton, NH, Joanne and David Thayer of Suffield, CT, and
Diane and Alan Pajak of Westford, MA; two sons and their wives, Henry
and Vickery DeMita of New London, NH and Joseph and Kathleen DeMita of
Reading, MA, and two sisters, Eleanor and her husband Ralph Occhialini
and Gloria McDonough both of Watertown, MA. Josephine is also
survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as
several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother-in-law of the
late I. Shaun Carnes of Chelmsford, MA, and the sister of the late
Joseph, James, Louis and Arthur Arone, the late Tina Ragosta and the
late Sarah DeLellis.

Mrs. Josephine M. DeMita, 99, formerly of Belmont, MA died March 9,
2009. Visiting hour Wed. 10 to 11AM at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106
MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, followed by her funeral Mass at 11AM at St.
John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford, MA. Burial in Pine Ridge
Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in her name to the St Jude
Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
