Mrs. Helen V. (Lordan) Dolan of Billerica, MA died
unexpectedly early Saturday morning, March 8, 2008 at
her home. She was married to the late Mr. John W.
Dolan Sr. who died October 22, 1984.
Helen was born in Cambridge, MA on July 8, 1922, the
daughter of the late Michael and Ellen (Sughrue) Lordan.
She was a graduate of St. Peter High School in
Cambridge, MA with the class of 1940.
She retired in 1987 from the Billerica Public
Schools, where she was one of the high school’s
librarian assistant.
She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church of
Billerica, MA.
She was a member of Billerica Senior Citizens.
She is survived by a loving daughter, Miss Helen M.
Dolan of Lowell, MA, a daughter-in-law, Cecile A. Dolan
of Merrimack, NH, a son-in-law, Mike and his wife Kim
Forbes of Ellijay, GA, 3 grandchildren, Brian P., Kelley
M., and David M. Dolan, and 2 great grandchildren, Aidan
J. and Finn B. Dolan. Helen is also survived by many
nieces and nephews as well as several close friends.
She was the mother of the late Margaret A. Forbes of
Marietta, GA who died April 19, 1998, and the late John
W. Dolan Jr. of Merrimack, NH who died January 3, 2000.
Helen was the sister of the late Mary Lordan of
Billerica, MA.

at St. Theresa’s Church in Billerica, MA. Burial in St.
Bernard’s Cemetery, Concord, MA. Memorials may be made
in her name to the St. Theresa’s Church,1 Grace Ave.,
