Obituary for

Raymond S. Grivers

of East Chelmsford

Mr. Raymond Stanley Grivers, 79, of East Chelmsford, MA died Friday night, March 20, 2009 unexpectedly at Lowell General Hospital.

He was married to Mrs. Ruth A. (Hayes) (McLaughlin) Grivers with whom he celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on September 24, 2008.    

Raymond was born in Central Falls, RI on October 30, 1929, the son of the late Stanley and Frances (Trebus) Grywacz.  He was a graduate of St. Joseph High School with the class of 1948.

He served with the U.S. Navy during Korean War.

Raymond owned and operated for 24-years Bakeryland of Chelmsford, MA, and worked at Christiansen Bus Company as a monitor for special needs students.

He was a communicant of Holy Family Parish of Lowell, MA.

He was a lifetime member of the Chelmsford Elks Lodge #2310; where he was past Exalted Ruler.  Ray was also a lifetime member of the Tyngsboro Sportsman Club of Tyngsboro, MA

Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter and her husband, Janet and Donald LeClair of Tyngsboro, MA, a son and his wife, Thomas and Lori Grivers of Billerica, MA, his wife’s son’s Michael and his wife, Renee McLaughlin of E. Chelmsford, MA, Philip McLaughlin and his companion Lisa Stanley both of E. Chelmsford, MA, Richard and his wife, Laura McLaughlin of Chelmsford, MA, and Joseph McLaughlin and his companion Sarah Padon of Baytown, TX, and a brother-in-law, Roger Wilde of E. Chelmsford, MA.  Raymond is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Nathan Jewell, TJ and Chelsea Grivers, Nicholas LeClair, Connor, Derek, Bobby and Jeremy McLaughlin, and his dog, Texie as well as several friends.

He was the former husband of the late Helen (Shamberger) Grivers of Chelmsford, MA.

GRIVERS, Mr. Raymond Stanley Grivers, 79, of East Chelmsford, MA died March 20, 2009. Visiting hours Mon. 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Tues. at 9AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10AM at Holy Family Parish of Lowell, MA. Burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
