 Herbert Frank
Shipley Jr., 75, a lifetime resident of Tyngsborough, MA died Tuesday
night, March 10, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family after
along illness.
He was married to the late Theresa (Abreu) Shipley who died September
27, 2008.
Herbert was born in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late Herbert F.
and Laura A. (Dixon) Shipley Sr. He attended Tyngsborough Public
Schools.
He served as a Sergeant with the US Marines during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Tyngsborough Evangelical Congregational Church
in Tyngsborough, MA.
Herbert was a member of the Tyngsborough Sportsman Club, and the
American Legion Post 247 of Tyngsborough, MA. He also was a
past volunteer with the Tyngsborough Little League and Babe Ruth League.
He is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Susan and Gerard
Bordeleau, Lisa and Robert Tremblay; a son and his wife, William and
Doreen Shipley; a sister, Joyce Morin All of Tyngsborough, MA; 4
grandchildren, Melissa and her husband Brian St. Louis of Dracut, MA,
Deborah Bordeleau, William and Nicholas Shipley all of Tyngsborough,
MA, 2 great-grandchildren, Brandon and Hailey St. Louis of Dracut, MA
as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late George Shipley of Dunstable, MA.

SHIPLEY, Herbert Frank Shipley Jr., 75, of Tyngsborough, MA died March
10, 2009. Visiting hours Mon 4 to 7 p.m. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106
MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD. A Memorial Service will be held
Tues. at 11AM at the Tyngsborough Evangelical Congregational Church in
Tyngsborough, MA. Burial in Sherburne Cemetery, Tyngsborough, MA. For
those that wish contributions in his memory may be made to the Greater
