
Lloyd N. Wilkinson, beloved husband of Urlga Wilkinson
for 62 years, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday
morning, March 13, 2008. He leaves his children, Marsha
Wilkinson of Marlborough MA, Neville Wilkinson and
Jeannette Wilkinson of Westford, MA, and Linda W.
Thompson of Westport, CT, and was predeceased by his son
Andrew (Lorraine) in 2002.
He also leaves seven
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces
and nephews.
Lloyd leaves his brother Robert N.
Wilkinson (Ann.) He was also predeceased by his sister
Doris W. Edwards (Louis) in 1983 and brother Simeon B.
Wilkinson (Lorraine) in 2000.
Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1921,
Lloyd, the oldest son of Madeline and Rufus Wilkinson,
was a decorated veteran of the Battle of the Bulge in
WWII.
Employed by the U.S. Government, he
retired after 20 years and then worked with the
Honeywell Corporation as a systems analyst for 25 years,
before retiring in 1982.
A dedicated family man who lived
strong in his faith, Lloyd served as an anchor for his
personal and spiritual families.
An avid professional photographer,
he played the piano, loved music and loved to sing. His
warm spirit, the twinkle in his eye, and his sense of
humor will be greatly missed.
