 Mrs. Eileen E.
(McNamara) Francoeur, 75, of Chelmsford, MA., died May 31, 2009, at
Lowell General Hospital.
She was married to Mr. Leonard E. Francoeur with whom she would have
celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on Oct. 8,
2009.
Born in Boston, MA. on June 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late
Francis B. and Anna (Murray) McNamara. A graduate of Cambridge Latin
High School with the class of 1951, she earned her B.A. Degree from
Regis College with the class of 1955.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in North
Chelmsford.
While raising seven children, she taught CCD at St. John the Evangelist
Church, served as a librarian at the Chelmsford Libraries, and
continued as a volunteer after her retirement.
Eileen was an avid reader who loved to travel, to spend time with her
17 grandchildren, and to visit the beaches of Cape Cod.
Besides her husband Leonard, she is survived by two daughters and five
sons and their spouses, Anne and David Landry of Essex, MA, Joan E. and
William Gale JR. of Groton, MA., Paul and Deborah (Durkin) Francoeur of
Lowell, MA., Kevin and Dorothy (Wallace) Francoeur of Chelmsford, MA.,
Robert Francoeur and Robert Perez of San Francisco, CA., Thomas
Francoeur and Maria Dolorico of Boston, MA., and David and Kristin
(Fisher) Francoeur of West Newbury, MA., and seventeen grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Marie Lewis of Grosse Pointe, Mich., and
the late Francis B. McNamara of Lexington, MA.

FRANCOEUR, of Chelmsford, MA., died May 31, 2009. Mrs. Eileen E.
(McNamara) Francoeur. Visiting hours Wed. 4 to 8 pm. Funeral Thursday
at 8 am from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with
a funeral Mass at 9 am. at St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial in
Fairview Cemetery, North Chelmsford, MA. Memorials may be made in her
name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation 5005 L.B.J. Fwy,
