George F. Greene, 91, life long resident of the
Pawtucketville section of Lowell died Saturday May 3, 2008 at the Fairhaven
Health Care Center after a brief illness.A life long
bachelor, he was born in Lowell, MA on May 23, 1916,the son of the late Robert
C. and Mary B.(Mason) Greene. He graduated from Lowell High School with the
Class of 1935. He attended the Bradshaw Business School in Lowell.
He worked for many years at the General Electric
Company in Lowell and in PA. He loved gardening and flowers.
He was a member of the Eliot Presbyterian Church in
Lowell.
He is survived his sister, Louise B. Greene of Lowell,
MA; a sister in-law, Catherine (Seifert) Greene of Chelmsford; two nieces and
their husbands, Gayle and Gilbert Aguirre of McHenry, MS; Carolyn Greene and
David Hathaway of Underhill Center, VT.
He was predeceased by his brother, Charles R. Greene
who died in October of 1998.
