Mr. Duane Holt Bacon, 70
of Dunstable, MA died Friday evening, September 25, 2009 at St.
Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua, NH.
He was happily married to Mrs. Carol (Gray) Bacon with whom he would
have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on November 18, 2009.
Born in Lowell, MA on May 24, 1939, the son of the late Warren W. and
Idal E. (Holt) Bacon. He attended Lowell and Westford Public
Schools.
He served as a Lance Corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps during the
Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in December of 1966.
He was employed as a Carpenter in the Construction Industry; he was an
avid furniture designer and fabricator but also loved antique cars and
spending quality time with family and friends, especially his one
cherished granddaughter Kalee Chapman of Townsend, MA.
Besides his loving wife, Carol, he is survived by a son, Tomas Bacon of
Dunstable, a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Sheldon Chapman of
Townsend, MA, a sister, Dorothy Drew of Dunstable, MA, many nieces,
nephews and close family friends.
He was the brother of the late Corinne Nelson of Fitchburg, MA who died
in 1999.
