Domenic Tringale of Chelmsford

5558 Obit TrangaleDomenic Tringale, 63, of Chelmsford, MA died from a heart attack Saturday, June 20, 2015 in Gilford, NH.

He was married to the late Gitte Tringale for 33 years, who died in 2012.
Born in Everett, MA, he was the son of S. Richard and Anna Tringale of Stoneham, MA.

He was raised in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1969.
Domenic retired in 2011 as a master electrician with the IBEW Local 103 where he worked for over 40 years.

He was a member of the IBEW Local 103, the Chelmsford Elks #2310, the American Kennel Club, the Tyngsboro Sportsmen’s Club, and the Nashua Fly Casting Association. Dom was an avid fly fisherman and excellent cook. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, traveling, and eating at various restaurants. Dom was a coach for the Chelmsford Little League Association for many years.

Besides his parents, he is survived by two sons, Mikael and his wife, Audrey Tringale and Daniel Tringale and his wife, Renee Bastarache all of Nashua; three brothers, Richard and his wife, Beverly Tringale of Lexington, Vincent and his wife, Aksana Tringale of CA and Daniel and his wife, Joanne Tringale of Lexington; two grandsons, Thomas and James Tringale of Nashua; two nephews, Daniel and Nicholas Tringale; a niece, Jennifer Tringale; beloved partner, Phyllis Gervais of Chelmsford; Gervais family, Greg Gervais and his girlfriend, Liz, Brian Gervais and his girlfriend, Kerry, Garret Gervais, and by his devoted dog, Skoll.

Joseph C. Bartkovick of Chelmsford formerly of Hollis, NH

He was married to the late Corinne (Knox) (Corey) Bartkovick who died in November 2011.

Born in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Bartkovick. He graduated from New York City Public Schools with the class of 1950.

He proudly served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict.

Joseph retired in 1992 from the Commissary at Hanscom A.F.B.

He was a member of Dunstable Evangelist Congregational Church.

Joseph enjoyed WW II history.

He is survived by one stepson, Robert Corey of Groveton, NH; two stepdaughters, Sandra Clarke of Ayer, MA and Pamela O’Connor and her husband, Adrian Knyff of Hollis, NH; one niece, Christa Rinehan of RI; eight step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren and one step great-great granddaughter.

He was the brother of the late William Bartkovick of Chelmsford, who died in 2003.

Reverend Paul R. Franz of Tucson, AZ formerly of Westford

5549 Franz 225x300Reverend Paul R. Franz, 80, of Tucson, AZ formerly of Westford, MA died Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Morning Glory Assisted Living in Tucson, AZ.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Henry and Eleanor Franz. He graduated from Boston College High School with the class of 1952 and from St. John’s Seminary.  Father Franz was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in May of 1966.

He proudly served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Medal.

Father Franz was a retired Priest from the Archdiocese of Boston.  He had been the Pastor of Saint James Church in Medford until retiring in 1999 due to medical reasons.  Prior to that, he had been a Parochial Vicar at a number of churches, including St. Cecilia in Ashland, St. Dorothy in Wilmington, St Rita in Lowell, St. Theresa in Billerica, and at St. John the Evangelist in N. Chelmsford.  He also served as the hospital chaplain at Lawrence General Hospital.

Father Franz was a First Degree Honorary Life member of the Ashland Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Ruth Franz and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late John Franz, Elizabeth Franz and Mary Franz.

He also leaves behind close friends in the Sallet family.

The Rite of Reception will be Wed. at 3PM followed by visiting hours from 4 to 7PM with a funeral Mass Thurs. at 11AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 115 Middlesex St., N. Chelmsford. William J. LeTendre of N. Chelmsford

He was married to Annette E. LeTendre with whom he celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on February 23, 2015.

Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Joseph and Bernadette LeTendre. William grew up in the “Little Canada” section of Lowell.

He proudly served with the U.S. Air Force during Korean War.

William retired from Hanscom USAFB of Bedford in 1985, where he worked as a computer consultant.  He had previously owned and operated LeTendre Printing of N. Chelmsford, Vinal Square Donut Shop of N. Chelmsford and Northeastern Video of Lowell. William was a local real estate agent for many years.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.

William was a member of the Club Lafayette of Lowell, the Chelmsford Elks, the Courthouse Racquet Ball Club and the D’Youville Manor Men’s Guild.

He enjoyed printing, golfing, spending time with his family, friends and being a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Joe and his wife, Marisa LeTendre of Marlboro and Bill and his wife, Darlene LeTendre of N. Chelmsford; daughter Claudette and her husband, Brad Galbraith of Northfield, NH; two brothers, Alfred and his wife, Georgette LeTendre of Lowell and Edward and his wife, Sharon LeTendre of Methuen; two sisters, Terry Descoteaux of Geneva, IL and Gertrude Desroches of Harvard; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Jerome C. Wagner of Chelmsford

He was married to Sally Anne (Mahoney) Wagner with whom he would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary on July 24th.

Born in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Walter and Betty Jane Wagner. He graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1965 and from UMASS Lowell.

Jerry owned and operated All Pro Pool and Spa and Tyngsborough Well and Pump.  He had previously been a salesman in the Chelmsford area for many years.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.

Jerry was a member of the Elks.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren at the beach and Newfound Lake.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons Shaun and his wife, Lori (Wyman) Wagner of Tyngsboro and Brian Wagner of Nashua, NH; brother, Walter C. Wagner and his wife Lauretta of Malvern, PA; sister, Donna and David Wallace of Schenectady, NY; sister-in-law, Susan and her husband, Bruce Lynch of Holliston, MA; five grandchildren, Michael Wagner, Jack Wagner, Justine Wagner, Lily Rose Wagner and Matthew Wagner and many nieces and nephews.

Roger R. Ducharme Korean War Vet; of Westford, MA

5552 Ducharme 244x300Mr. Roger R. Ducharme, 82, a longtime resident of Westford, MA died Friday afternoon, June 12, 2015 at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, MA.

He was married to Mrs. Rachael M. (Vail) Ducharme with whom he would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 16, 2015.

Roger was the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Ducharme.  He was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1951.  He attended Lowell Textile School.

He served with the U.S. Army during Korean War and was honorably discharged.

Roger owned and operated Duval Machinery of Westford, MA, and retired from Piconics of Tyngsboro, MA.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford, MA and St. Catherine Church in Westford, MA.

He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed fishing and building model airplanes, but most of all Roger loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and their wives, Roger P. and Rosemary Ducharme of Lexington, MA, and David and Lynne Ducharme of St. Louis, MO, a daughter, Jenny Brown of Groton, MA, two brothers, Joseph and Marge Ducharme of Springfield, MA and Robert and Rosalie Ducharme of Pelham, NH, and three grandchildren, Andrew Ducharme, and Sarah and Jake Brown.  Roger is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as several close friends.

David W. Smith of Tyngsboro

He was married to Barbara B. Smith with whom he celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary on March 29, 2015.

Born in Melrose, MA he was the son of the late Frank and Dorothy Smith and brother of the late Frankie Smith.  Dave graduated from Reading High School with the class of 1965 and earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemistry from Lowell Technological Institute. He worked as a chemical engineer for the Gillette Company for 33 years in Andover, Boston, and Reading, U.K., where he made lifelong friends. He retired in 2007.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.

Dave was an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America since 1986, and was a founding leader of both Pack 46 and Troop 46 in Tyngsboro. He devoted many volunteer hours to Toys for Tots, IMEC, and the AARP tax preparation program in Tyngsboro.

Besides his wife, his family includes a son, Daniel Smith and his wife, Jessica Sprangers, and his  granddaughter, Alexis Smith of Burlington, a son Greg Smith and his partner, Renee Eriksen of Monterey, CA; Jackie Hayes, wife of his cousin the late Woody Hayes, and their family, Kim and Kevin Williams, Donna and Weldon Green and Mike Hayes and his daughter Bailey, all of New Brunswick, Canada; brothers and sisters-in-law, Pearl Brooks and the late David Brooks of Hudson, NH, Marilyn and Jim Gourley of Sheridan OR, Tom and Sue Brooks of Chelmsford, and Jack Brooks and the late Ann Marie Brooks of Dracut; and many nieces and nephews.

Edmund Robert “Bob” Page of Tyngsborough

He was married to the late Merle E.(Simpson)Page, who died on April 20, 2006.

Born in Manchester, NH, he was the son of the late Mabel Page.  He attended Chelmsford High School and earned a B.A. in Education and a Master’s in Education from Fitchburg State College.

He proudly served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Bob was a teacher at Nashoba Technical High School in Westford.

He was a member of the Tyngsborough Recreation Committee and was involved in the Tyngsborough Youth Sports Programs.

Bob was a winter resident of Largo, FL and a former resident of Chelmsford. He enjoyed construction, carpentry and traveling.

He is survived by his daughter, Alison Page of Tyngsboro, grandchildren, Tyler McNamara, Ainsley McNamara and Chelsea McNamara; great granddaughter, Peyton Boulay; companion, Joan Clement of Chelmsford; and many nieces and nephews.

Roger R. Poulin of Tyngsboro

5544 Poulin 300x300Roger R. Poulin, 92, of Tyngsboro, MA left this life on May 30th to be reunited with his beloved wife Cecile, who died on August 8th, 2005.

Born in Lowell, he was the youngest of 7 children of the late Eugene and Clara Poulin. He graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Lowell with the class of 1940.

He proudly served with the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theatre and was awarded a Purple Heart.

Roger owned and operated Interstate Batteries of S. E. Mass until his retirement in the early 1990’s.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church and a dedicated Bingo volunteer for many years.

Roger was a charter member of the Tyngsboro-Dunstable Rotary Club, the VFW and the DAV. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and going to Foxwoods.

He is survived by a son, Russell Poulin of Tyngsboro and his partner, Patrick Bigley of Chelmsford; two daughters, Suzanne Kittle of Nashua and Michele Poulin of Nashua; six

grandchildren, Brent Mullins, Eric Mullins and his wife Sally Mullins, Wendy Mullins-Daley, Kenneth Poulin and his wife Nicole Poulin, Andrea Poulin and her husband, Gary Gomlak, and Rebecca Long and her husband, Jeffrey Long; ten great grandchildren, Tessa Mullins, Bryce Mullins, Rachel Mullins, Parker Mullins, Jack Daley, Grayson Daley, Stella Poulin, Violet Poulin, Cooper Long and Madyson Long and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Kenneth A. Poulin of Derry, NH who died in October of 1990 and Marlene Poulin of El Segundo, CA, who died in January of 2008.

Russell H. Robinson of Chelmsford

He was married to the late Dorothy Robinson for 64 years.

Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Blanche Robinson.

He proudly served with the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII in the European Theatre.

Russ owned and operated Russ’ Donut Shop of Somerville, MA and had worked at New England Clothes Recycling with his son, Dwight until he retired at age 85.

Russ took great joy spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, John and wife, Chris Shelton, Dwight and wife, Carol Robinson of Dracut and Kyle Cooke of Chelmsford; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Russell Robinson of Alaska, who died in October of 2008.

Patricia A. (Hopkins) Curtis of Chelmsford

She was married to the late Kenneth H. Curtis, who died on July 4, 2012.

Born in Providence, RI, she was the daughter of the late Howard Hopkins and Katherine (Polacek)Hopkins. She graduated from Providence High School with the class of 1952.

Patricia retired in 2006 from the Boston Herald after 41 years of service.

She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

Patricia was a former girl scout leader. She enjoyed casinos and cruises with Carnival.  She was an avid gardener.

She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia L. Curtis of Chelmsford and Donna Boucher and her husband Alfred of Nashua, NH; three grandchildren, Jessica Curtis of Groton, Heather Boucher of Nashua, NH and Rebecca Thibedore of Chelmsford and a great grandchild, Justin Curtis.

She was the grandmother of the late Kristopher Thibedore of Chelmsford, who died in 2005.

Charles “Charlie” R. Mack Loving Husband and Father

5539 Mack 2 300x300Charles “Charlie” Mack, 64, of N. Chelmsford died surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Tufts Medical Center.

He was married to Deborah “Debbie” Mack with whom he celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on the day of his passing.

Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Samuel and Eileen Mack. He graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1970.

Charlie was the foreman for the Hardy-Doric Vault Company of Chelmsford, where he worked for 45 years. He was also the part owner of the Gaelic Club of Lowell.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church.

Charlie was a member of the Lowell Sportsman’s Club of N. Chelmsford.

Charlie loved to entertain his family and friends at the house he designed and remodeled. He also loved the family vacations cruising the Caribbean.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Chuckie Mack of N. Chelmsford; a brother, Norman Mack of Lowell; a sister, Nancy Mack of Lowell; three brothers-in-law, John and his wife, Catherine Brady of Lowell, Richard Dion of Lowell and Dave Marcouillier of Lowell; four sisters-in-law, Melissa and her husband, Richard Beausoleil of Lowell, Carol Karvelas of Lowell, Joan Parks of Lowell and Ruth Brady of Lowell and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother-in-law of the late James, Robert, Gerald and Barbara Brady, Janice Cormier, Lana Dion and Pamela Marcouillier.

The family would like to thank Dr. Anamour and Lowell General Hospital as well as Tufts Medical Center ICU for the care they gave Charlie.

Esther (Perry) Doherty of Westford

5538 Doherty 298x300Esther (Perry) Doherty, 83, of Westford, MA died Monday, May 25, 2015 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.

She was married to the late John Doherty, who died in October of 1984.

Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late James and Hazel Perry. She graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1948.

She was a communicant of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Westford.

Esther was devoted to her family and loved raising her children and grandchildren. She loved music, singing, Trivial Pursuit, and Sunday dinners with her family.

She was a lifelong resident of Westford.

She is survived by three sons, Timothy J. and his wife, Diane Doherty of Westford, Dan and his wife, Donna Doherty of Westford, and Patrick Doherty of Westford; eight daughters, Judy Waterhouse of Wilmington, Kathy and her husband, Kevin Brunelle of Waterford, CT, Maura and her husband, David Pleva of Pelham, NH, Winny and her husband, Terry Woodward of Townsend, Nora and her husband, Tom Courtney of Westford, Maggie and her husband, George Mellonakos of Westford, Martha and her husband, Bill Martin of Lowell and Elizabeth and her husband, Jonathan Moore of Chelmsford; a cousin, Mary Seman of Andover; twenty nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren and two nephews.

She was the mother of the late Michael J. Doherty of Westford, who died on July 16, 2013, the sister of Donald Perry of Westford, who died on March 17, 2010 and the grandmother of Garrett Brunelle of Waterford, CT, who died on August 12, 1992.

Visiting hours Sun. 3 to 7 P.M. Funeral Mon. at 8A.M. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9A.M. at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lowell. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.
