Donald B. Pick

DonaldPickUSNavyDonald Bence Pick of Westford died Saturday November 8, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was married to the late Carol (Coughlin) Pick who died October 3, 2013. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Debra Pick who died June 29, 2014.
Born in Arlington, MA, he was the son of the late Harold F. and Maude H. (Bence) Pick. Don was a graduate of Arlington High School with the class of 1949.

He served with the U.S. Navy Submarine Division during the Korean War. Don was employed with Cambridge Electric for 36 years until his retirement in 1996. After his retirement Don and Carol enjoyed snow birding in Florida at The Village of Holiday Lake in Port Charlotte. Don was the defacto “Mayor” of Holiday Lake and the star of the annual variety show with his unique comedy routines and unforgettable banjo solos.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of Chelmsford.
Donald was a lifetime member of the H.E. Fletcher Club in Westford, the American Legion Post 313 in N. Chelmsford, Chelmsford Elks, as well as a Mason at the Simonds Lodge in Burlington, MA.

He is survived by two sons , Michael W. Pick (Karin) of Ellicott City, MD, and Donald H. Pick (Maureen) of Pepperell, MA ; one daughter, Sandra Bridget Pareene (John) of Galloway, NJ; a sister, Gloria Rose and her husband, William of Lake Forest, CA; a sister-in-law, Lillian Pick and seven grandchildren; Andrew, Ryan and Justine Pick of Ellicott City, MD, Lauren and Kyle Pick of Pepperell, MA and Stacey and Sean Pareene of Galloway, NJ.
He was the twin brother of the late Ronald A. Pick of Palm Beach, FL and the brother of the late Virginia Mann of Chelmsford, and the late Patricia Fraser of Clearwater, FL.

Rose Ann Greenhalge

Rose A. (Farrell) Greenhalge, 80, of Lowell, MA died Saturday Nov. 8, 2014 at the Northwood Nursing Center in Lowell surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of Robert Greenhalge Sr with whom she celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on July 18. Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late John and Jeannette Farrell. She attended the Lowell school system. Rose worked for the Lowell Public Schools in the food service dept. for many years before retiring in 2006 from the Lincoln Elementary School in Lowell. She previously worked at Hoffman’s Furniture of Lowell.

Rose loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed playing cards and shopping. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law Debra and Allan Lewis of Chelmsford,MA and Kim and Steve Tardiff of Westford, MA; a son and daughter in-law, Robert and Linda Greenhalge Jr of Lowell, MA;four sisters and two brothers in-law, Aileen and Jim Olivera of Dracut, MA, Patricia Cobleigh of Lowell, MA, Eleanor and Gerald Greenhalge of Dract, MA and Norma Martino of Lowell, MA; four grandchildren, Allan Lewis Jr, Wendy Capozzi, Sarah Tardiff and Stacy Tardiff; eight great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and brothers in-law and sisters in-law.

She was predeceased by her brother John H. Farrell Jr; her brother in-law, Mike Martino; Infant son Kevin Greenhalge who died in 1959; her 34 year old grandson, Timothy Michael Lewis Sr who died Feb. 7, 2012 and her 2 year 10 month old granddaughter, Lorrie Ann Lewis who died May 12, 1975.

Claire J. Fontaine

ClaireFontaineClaire J. Fontaine, 55, of Lowell, MA died due to a brief, unexpected illness, on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Lowell General Hospital. She died in the arms of her devoted wife, with her family by her side.

She was married to Karen Merluzzi, with whom she recently celebrated their 10th year anniversary. They were a happy family with their two feline sons, Babie and Blackie.

Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Rita (Lausier) Fontaine. She graduated from Tyngsboro High School; class of 1977 with a Basketball Scholarship to college. Claire graduated from Newbury College in Brookline, MA with a degree in Business Management.

Claire was employed at BAE Systems of Nashua, NH as a Quality Assurance Inspector. She had previously worked for 26 years at Sipex Corporation of Billerica, MA, where she held various management positions.

Claire enjoyed jogging, boating, fresh water fishing, traveling, watching TV and movies. In her younger years, she was an outstanding softball and basketball player.

She was an avid New England Patriot fan.

Besides her spouse, she is survived by two sisters, Theresa Fontaine of Billerica, MA and Gloria and her husband, Robert Hogue of Tyngsboro, MA; three brothers, Philip and his wife, Sandy Fontaine, of Tyngsboro, MA, Ernest and his wife, Cheryl Fontaine of Fitchburg, MA and Henry and his wife, Janet Fontaine of Dunstable; Father-in-law, Marty and his wife Margie Merluzzi of Palm Beach, FL; Four nieces, Rebecca, Sara, Jessie and Crystal; two nephews, Ernest, and Steven; one great-niece, Alyssa.
She was the sister of the late Michael Fontaine.

Elsie Mae (Cobleigh) Wyman

Elsie Mae (Cobleigh) Wyman, 75, of Westford, MA died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Lahey Medical Center in Burlington, MA.

She was married to George “Pete” Wyman with whom she celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on February 13, 2014.

Born in Tyngsboro, she was the daughter of the late Anna Cobleigh.
She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1957.
Elsie and her husband were the owners of Wyman’s Beach in Westford.
Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters Vicki Ingalls, June and her husband, Stephen Ingalls and Shari Wyman of Westford; several beloved grandchildren Jeff Ingalls, Alex Ingalls, Pete and Nikki (Ingalls) Fales, Samantha Ingalls, and Torrie Lewine and one great-grandchild.

At her request funeral services were private. Kerry was the daughter of Elkin B. and Donna M. McCallum of Tyngsboro, MA. She was a graduate of Keith Hall with the class of 1981, and received a degree in Bachelor in Arts in Paralegal Studies from Rivier College in Nashua, NH in in 1985.
She was employed with Joan Fabrics Inc.

She was a member of the United Centerville Methodist Church of Lowell, MA.
Besides her loving parents, Kerry is survived by two aunts, Leslie and her husband, John Goyette of Hyannis, MA, and Sandra and her husband, Arthur Clough of Dracut, MA, three cousins, Todd Goyette of Hyannis, MA, Stephen and his wife Sarah Frechette of Nashua, NH and Darrah and her husband, Peter Kazmir of Dallas, TX, and her best friend, Sue Comacho of Hyannis, MA.

Her wake will be Friday from 10 to 11AM followed by a funeral service at 11Am at the Centralville United Methodist Church 800 Bridge St. Lowell, MA. Carol Ann (McIlwaine) Freeman

CarolAnnFreemanCarol Ann (McIlwaine) Freeman, 75, of Westford, MA died at home on Monday November 3, 2014 after a five year struggle with dementia.

Carol was born in Anderson, IN on June 17, 1939 to the late Frank and Sophie McIlwaine. She grew up in Arlington, MA where she graduated from Arlington High School in 1957. After earning a degree from Katherine Gibbs School of Boston in 1959, she worked in the Personnel Department of Cabot Corporation in Boston. In 1960, Carol became the bride of Robert M. Freeman and they resided briefly in Arlington.

Carol and Robert moved to Westford, MA in 1961 where Carol would devote her life to raising her children and caring for her family. She loved gardening and over the years, planted and maintained a number of beautiful annual and perennial flower beds in her yard. Carol was a founding member of the League of Women Voters of Westford and the first president of the newly chartered branch. She was, for nearly twenty years, a Real Estate Broker with Emerson (later DeWolfe) Realtors in Chelmsford and Westford.

Carol was best friend and the love of his life to her husband, Robert, who survives her and who will miss her more than words can say. She also leaves behind her dear children, Susan C. Freeman of Arlington, who helped her Mom and Dad so much through the long goodbye, and Michael S. Freeman of Union, KY. Also left are Susan’s Husband, Marcelo A. Araya and Michael’s wife Traci Freeman and their children, Kathryn J. and Christopher J. Carol was the sister-in-law of Thom H. and Claire B. Freeman of Wrentham, MA and aunt to their children, Thom H. Jr, Laura C. and Matthew M. Freeman. Carol was most fortunate to have had many close school, business and neighbor friends from her childhood and throughout her life who remained supportive and caring to the last. For these loyalties, her family offers their gratitude and thanks. Patricia Ralls

PatriciaRallsMrs. Patricia Ann (Rioux) Ralls of Hollis, NH lost her courageous battle with heart disease Sunday, November 2, 2014 at home.

She was the loving wife of Mr. Francis L. Ralls with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.
Patricia was born in Graniteville, MA on December 28, 1935. She was the youngest of six children of Charles and Mary Rioux of Graniteville. She was a graduate of Chelmsford High School with the class of 1954, and attended Lowell Commercial College.

She worked for twenty-five years as the Bookkeeper at St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford until her retirement in June of 1998.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Nashua, and was an active member of the Ladies Sodality, putting on many functions at St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford.
Patricia enjoyed working on all the CHS Class Reunion Committees with her classmates from CHS. In her younger years she loved to sing and was a member of the Chelmsford Choral Society and was a member of the Guys & Dolls musical group and was involved in many of their performances.
In addition to her husband, Francis, she is survived by two sons and two daughters in-law, Joseph and Pamela Ralls, David and Danielle Ralls all of N. Chelmsford, two daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Rick Geoffroy, of Chelmsford, Karen and Douglas Callahan of Boise, ID, two sisters, Marie Geary of Nashua, NH, Charlotte Perocchi of Methuen, three cherished grandchildren, Daniel Callahan of Boise, ID, Nicholas and Michael Geoffroy both of Chelmsford; a great grandson, Keegan Callahan, as well as her dear friend Claire Lynch of West Chelmsford, many nieces, nephews and several dear friends.

She was the sister of the late Lorraine Petullo, the late Rita Geladeras both of Lowell and the late Eugene Rioux who died serving in the US Navy during WW II.
Pat had many heart issues in her married life having open heart surgery in 1974. She was also featured on Boston Chronicle in the late 1970’s for women with heart issues during their child bearing years. She left her body to the Harvard Medical School Life Program to help others.

She was married to Ret. Sgt. Leslie “Buddy” H. Adams Jr. of the Chelmsford Police Department with whom she celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on August 21, 2014.
The daughter of the late John and Laura Pinkham, she was a graduate of Lexington High School with the class of 1946.

In her early years, she worked at Raytheon of Waltham, MA and Craft Cleaners.
She was a member of Congregational Church in North Chelmsford.
She was a past Girl Scout Leader. She loved summering at Old Orchard Beach, ME with her family. Pinky enjoyed attending yard sales with her beloved husband Buddy. She also enjoyed sewing.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Adams of N. Chelmsford, two sons, Ret. Patrolman of the Chelmsford Police Dept., Richard and his wife, Kerry Adams of N. Chelmsford, and Correctional Officer at MCI Concord, Douglas and his wife, Kelly Adams of Bedford, MA, a sister-in-law, Barbara Rooks of Pepperell, MA, a brother-in-law, Ralph Adams of Nashua, NH, six grandchildren, Lynne and her husband Daniel McNamara, Constance and her husband, Thomas Keating Jr., Correctional Officer at Hillsborough County NH, Richard Jr. and his wife Cheryl F. RosemarieMaloneyRosemarie (Cuoco) Maloney, 82, of Chelmsford, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at home after a long illness. She was married to Mr. Francis “Frank” Maloney with whom she recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.

Born in Medford October 3, 1932, the daughter of the late Thomas and Cecilia (Regione) Cuoco. She was a graduate of St. Clement High School with the class of 1951, and the Katharine Gibbs School of Executive Secretarial Programs of Boston. She retired from Raytheon of Lexington in 1995.

Rosemarie was a resident of Chelmsford for 50 years and a communicant of St. Mary Church of Chelmsford. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially being an important part of her grandchildren’s lives.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters and one son. Susan and her husband Peter Boynton of N. Andover, Nancy Maloney and her husband Jon Dinsmore of Acton, ME, Linda and her husband Ron Vincent of Townsend, MA, Thomas and his wife Julie Maloney of Townsend, MA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law Marguerite Casey of Cape Cod. She was the sister of the late Thomas Cuoco of N. Attleboro.

Philip L. Gagner

He was the husband of the late Marjorie A. (Clancy) Gagner who died Dec. 12, 2008.
Born in Lynn, MA on May 17, 1926, he was the son of the late Frank and Carlotta M. (Solaris) Gagner.
Phil grew up in Lynn and graduated Lynn Classical High School with the Class of 1943. He graduated from Northeastern University with a BS in Electrical Engineering.
He served in the US Army during World War II.

Phil worked as an Electrical Engineer at Textron of Wilmington for many years before retiring in 1986. He previously taught Radio Electronics to army recruits at Ft. Devens in Ayer, MA.
He was a communicant of St Maria Gorretti Parish in Lynnfield, MA and most recently St. Catherine’s Church in Westford, MA where he also served as an usher. He was a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Lynnfield, MA.

Phil enjoyed his summer house at Long Lake in Harrison, ME.

He is survived by two daughters, Marjorie “Peg” Hicks and her husband, Alan of Westford, MA and Christine Logan of Franklin, TN; a son, Philip Gagner and his wife Dr. Sylvia Dutcher of Vienna, VA; two grandchildren, Andrew Hicks of Medford, MA and Lisa McFarland of St. Catherine’s, Ontario; two sisters, Beverly O’Shea of Nahant, MA and Linda Cameron.
He was the brother of the late Francis Gagner, Ellsworth Gagner, Herbert Gagner, Helen McKinnon and June Knight.

She was married to the late Edwin Boothroyd who died Jan. 11, 2004.

Born in Fall River, MA, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Richard and Concorde Caron. She grew up and was educated in Fall River.

Jeanne worked as a cashier for Market Basket at the Stadium Plaza in Tewksbury for many years. She previously worked at Kay Instrument of Bedford, MA.

Jeanne loved spending time and playing board games with her grandchildren. She loved watching the New England Patriots, and horse racing. She also enjoyed spending time with her cats.
She is survived by two daughters and a son in-law, Gail Boothroyd and her companion, Ron Goebel of Wishek, ND, Renee and Bill Desrochers of Dracut, MA; a son, Marc Boothroyd of Dracut, MA; two grandchildren, Brittany and Joshua Desrochers of Dracut, MA.

The family would like to thank the hospice nurses of Circle Home Health for their wonderful care and support.

Richard “Dick” “Gremlin” Morrison

USNavyRichard “Dick” “Gremlin” Morrison, AGE 88, of Littleton, MA died Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Emerson Hospital.

He was married to Linda L. Morrison with whom he would have celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on December 21, 2014.

Born in Lynn, MA, he was the son of the late Leo and Dorothy Morrison. He received his education from the Catholic Schools in Lowell.

He proudly served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He was on board the USS Bunker Hill Carrier from the day of its commission to the day of its decommission.
Dick retired from Spear Trucking of Billerica, where he worked as a driver.

He was a communicant of St. Anne’s Church in Littleton.

Dick was a member of the Woburn Country Club and worked there in his retirement years. He enjoyed golfing.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Alan and his wife, Connie Morrison of Peabody, MA and Marc and his wife, Tracy Morrison of Leominster, MA; one sister, Barbara Gabinsky of Virginia Beach, VA and four grandchildren, Shelby Morrison, Anthony Morrison, Cameron Morrison and Riley Morrison.

He was the brother of the late Leo Morrison of Lynn, William Morrison of Lynn, Marnie Cole of St. Petersburg’s FL and Dorothy Dooley of Lynn.

Patricia M. (Daly) Patenaude

PatriciaPatenaudePatricia M. (Daly) Patenaude, 81, died Sunday October 12, 2014 at the Fairhaven Nursing Home in Lowell, MA.

Born in Lowell, MA on Feb. 28, 1933, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (McKean) Daly. She was raised in Lowell and graduated from St. Patrick’s School with the class of 1951.

Patricia was a resident of North Chelmsford for over forty-eight years. She worked as an assembler at the Bowmar/Lau Technologies in Acton for over 25 years before retiring in 2002.

She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford.

She is survived by two daughters and a son in-law, Joanne Keohane, Patricia and Maurice “Bud” Teehan all of N. Chelmsford, MA; three sons and two daughters in-law, John “Jack” Patenaude of Ft.
