Ara Rom, 35, of Lowell, MA died Monday April 19th at his home. Ara was his first name but we all knew him as Eric or E, and sometimes Eazy. He was born in San Jose, CA and always claimed to be a Cali boy, but we all knew he loved his East Coast life. He attended high in California but shortly after moved to Lowell, MA.

Eric loved fishing, and randomly shouted out “fish on” because it was all he thought of especially during the summer months. He loved getting Hyphy, and frequently rocked his “stunna shades.” While he was always the life of the party, he made it his mission to make sure everyone was having as good of a time as he was.

He loved family gatherings and wanted nothing more in life than to have those he loved around him. Eric is the son of the late Saren Thorn and the John Rom. Eric is survived by his older sister Amy Rom of Lowell,MA; who he loved picking on, two younger brothers, Jimmy Rom of Lowell, MA and Jeffrey Rom of Hudson, NH; who he constantly worked to be a role model for. He loved being an uncle to his niece Ashley, two nephews Dayvian and Darius, and many other nieces and nephews from close friends.

He loved to joke, loved to cruise, loved to eat good food, loved to randomly call people just to say “what’s up”, he loved to dance, and most importantly he loved to love.

He will be deeply missed, so often thought about, and very close in our hearts always.
As Eric would say, God bless, stay weird, and stay humble .. Oh and – rice and cheese, bro.
