Chhorn Pan, 92, of Lowell, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Lowell General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Chhorn was the devoted husband of Vantha Sor, with whom he recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in July.
Born in Kong Kampong, Cambodia, Chhorn was the beloved son of the late Chin Pan and Mom Yen. In Cambodia, he worked as a jeweler.
In 1985, Chhorn immigrated to the United States and initially settled in Texas. While there, he worked as a baker in Abilene. In 1998, he relocated to Lowell, MA, where he resided for the past 27 years.
In his leisure time, Chhorn enjoyed sewing, cooking for his friends and family, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Above all, he deeply cherished his family, and spending time with them was his greatest joy.
In addition to his loving wife, Vantha, Chhorn is survived by his children: his sons, Chay Pan and his wife, Sophary, of Dracut, MA, and Chhem Pan and his partner, Mary Don, of Lowell, MA; his daughters, Ampa Pan of Thailand, Bunphan Pan of Lowell, MA, Vary Pan of Chicopee, MA, and Vanara Pan of Revere, MA. He is also survived by many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Chhorn was predeceased by his sons, Lam Pan and Sokuntho Pan.
Friends and family are invited to attend his visitation at Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex St., Chelmsford, MA, on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 1:30–2:30 PM, followed by a procession to Glory Buddhist Temple. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, starting at 8:00 AM at Glory Buddhist Temple, followed by a funeral procession to Merrimack Crematory, 10 Henry Clay Dr., Merrimack, NH.
