Christina M. (Flanders) Mechalides, 67, a long-time resident of Tyngsboro died Thursday, February 25, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Sheldon and Anna Flanders. She graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1967.
She was the Director of Administration at Innovative Products and Equipment of Tyngsboro for seventeen years; where she considered everyone to be a part of her family.
Christina was a member of the Tyngsboro Zoning Board of Appeals. She was an evaluator for the Therapy Dog International at Auntie Dog of Tewksbury. She willing gave her time to volunteer for everything.
She enjoyed watching her son and his race team race all over New England, and spending time with her beloved dogs.
She is survived by a son, Louis Mechalides of Tyngsboro; a daughter, Diana “Dolly” Mechalides and her companion, Doric Routhier of Tyngsboro; and her children’s father, Louis Mechalides of Tyngsboro. Christina is also survived by two special boys, Jeremy Stec of Dracut, MA and Derek Griffith of Hudson, NH.
She was a close friend of the late Denise Cailler of Lowell.
A celebration of her life and reception will be Sat. 10:30am to 11:30 am. at the Dolan Funeral Home 106 Middlesex St. Chelmsford, MA. Memorials may be made in her name to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway Street, Lowell, MA 01854. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.

I will always remember the good old days down on the Lake with Chrissy and all of you,She would always go the extra mile to make things work.We had some good times and lots of laughs along the way. Heaven has clearly gotten their angel. I can say with a very heavy heart that Chrissy will most definitely be missed by me and the boys. She was always there with for us.
