Dorothy M. (Boland) Boucher of N. Chelmsford formerly of Lowell

Dorothy M. (Boland) Boucher, 80, of N. Chelmsford formerly of Lowell died Tuesday afternoon, October 30, 2018 at Life Care Center in Billerica, MA.

Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late William and Bernice Boland. She graduated from St. Patrick High School in Lowell with the class of 1957.

Dorothy worked as an administrative assistant for the Salvation Army in Lowell. She had previously worked for Raytheon in Tewksbury.

She was a communicant of St. Rita Church in Lowell, MA.

Dorothy was an avid reader.

She is survived by three sons, Gilbert Jr. and his wife, Deb Boucher of Winter Park, FL, Eric “Ricky” Boucher of N. Chelmsford and Randy and his wife, Jodi Boucher of Dracut; three daughters, Donna Obdens of Dracut, Karen O’Rourke of N. Chelmsford and Heidi and her husband, Robert Collins of Pelham, NH; a brother, William Bowlan of Dracut; two sisters, Bernice Doherty of Littleton, CO and Cynthia Keefe of Lowell; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Bowlan of Lowell; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Robert Bowlan and Mary Gail Bowlan, and the grandmother of the late Adam G. Boucher.

Dorothy’s family would like to thank the staff at the Life Care Center of Billerica and New England Hospice for taking care of their mom with love and professional support and care.

Her Visitation will be Sat. from 9 to 11 A.M. followed by a Funeral Service at 11am at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
