Gaudette, Arthur L.of Chelmsford, MA passed away peacefully on January 7, 2019.

Arthur was born in Norton Mills, VT to Joyce (Baldwin) and Armand.  He was raised in Groveton, NH and spent most of his life in Lowell, MA.  A graduate of Groveton HS, he subsequently graduated from Pierce College, Lowell Technical Institute and was in the first graduating class of The University of Lowell.  Arthur was an Accountant at the Groveton Paper Company, the US army stationed in Germany, and Raytheon for the vast majority of his career until his retirement.

After suffering a brain hemorrhage and stroke 34 years ago, which left him paralyzed on his left side, Arthur’s rehabilitation allowed him to return to work, driving and travel.  He diligently exercised and was a regular fixture on the sidewalks of the Highlands section of Lowell on his multiple daily walks.

Arthur leaves his wife Rochelle (Gaillarder), children Brian of Chelmsford, Troy and his wife Danielle and their children Jacob, Christian, Natalie and Julian of Hadley, Linda and her husband Marc Shpilner and their children Zachary and Dr. Brenna Quinn and her fiancé, Jonathan Morse.  He is also survived by his brother Lloyd, sister in law Evelyn of Merrimack, NH, sister Mary of Concord, NH, brother in law Pete Peladeau of Westford and many nieces and nephews.

No visiting hours. Funeral Monday at 1:30 pm at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).     We are deeply sadden by the loss of Arthur. I used to enjoy chatting with him whenever we met, usually at CVS or Market Basket. Our condolences go out to the entire Gaudette family.

    I knew Arthur for a short time as he was my neighbor, but adored him. I would always see him going for his morning walks through my neighborhood. He had great determination. I am sincerely happy to have known Arthur. He was a very warm, sincere, and a very friendly man.
    He will be missed.
