John Edward Bowman of Westford

John Edward Bowman, 72, of Westford, MA died Monday, April 13 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with emphysema.  He was married to Mrs. Dorothy (Tierney) Bowman with whom he would have celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary on September 11, 2015.  Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, David and Michael Bowman both of Westford, MA, a daughter, Jennifer Bowman of Shrewsbury, MA, a sister, Edna Pento of Whitman, MA, 5 grandchildren, including Daniel Bowman who he raised since birth and considered a son, one great-grandchild, and 8 nieces and nephews.  A memorial Service will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made in his name to the American Lung Assoc., 460 Totten Pond Rd., #400, Waltham, MA 02451.
