Marion (Timmins) King, 88, of Lowell, MA died surrounded by her loving husband on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in Billerica.
She was married to John J. King with whom she celebrated their sixty third wedding anniversary on September 19, 2017.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marion Timmins. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1947.
Marion was a devoted homemaker to her family. In her early years, she worked for Avco of Lowell.
She was a member of the Highland Union Methodist Church in Lowell.
Marion enjoyed playing the piano and the organ and teaching how to play them. She played the piano and the organ for All Saints Church of Chelmsford, St. Paul Church of Lowell, Tewksbury Union church of Tewksbury and the Highland Union Church of Lowell.
Besides husband she is survived by her two daughters, Karen and her husband, Russell Whitney of Hillsborough, NH and Kyle and her husband, Dennis Wilson of Holiday, FL; grandchildren Leo and his wife, Dr. Jamie Cormier, Crystal Cormier, Nathan Whitney, Donna and her husband, Kevin LaPointe, Christopher Green and Daniel Green; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Timmins of Lowell who died on February 10, 2008.
Private Funeral Services will be held the convenience of the family. Cremation at Merrimack Cremation Service in Merrimack, NH. Memorials may be made in her name to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter: EDITH N ROGERS #25, 190 Plain St., Lowell, MA 01852.
