Melissa Jeanne Ciszek, age 45, of Haverhill, MA died Saturday May 14, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Born in Nashua, NH, she was the daughter of Beverly Ciszek of Lowell and John “Jack” Sr. and his wife, Nancy Ciszek of Billerica. She graduated from Framingham Technical High School with the class of 1989.
She volunteered with the ARC Program of Haverhill, MA, assisting with designing greeting cards. She enjoyed arts and crafts, music and swimming. Melissa figure skated in the Special Olympics. She was a fan of Patrick Swayze.
Besides her parents she is survived by her son, Brian Ciszek-Cruz of Puerto Rico; brothers, Timothy Guthrie of Stratham, NH, Scott and his wife Cherie Ciszek of Tyngsboro, John Ciszek of Arlington and Stephen Palmer of Tyngsboro; sister, Lisa Ard of North Carolina; paternal grandmother, Mildred Ciszek of Lowell and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours Thursday 6 to 7 P.M. with her memorial service at 7 P.M. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD. Memorials may be made in her name to the Epilepsy Foundation of New England, 335 Main St, #8, Wilmington, MA 01887. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.
