Robert Michael McGrath Sr., 82, of N. Chelmsford, passed away, April 29, 2020 at Lowell General Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
Mr. McGrath was born in Watertown, Ma the son of the late John and Gertrude (Marchant) McGrath.
He was educated in the Watertown school system and graduated from Watertown High School with the class of 1955 prior to enlisting with the Army Reserves.
Robert retired from HC Stark in Newton in 2000 and was previously worked at W.H Nichols of Waltham.
In his free time he enjoyed travelling, golf, and spending time with his wife, family and friends.
Mr. McGrath was the husband of the late Barbara E. (Morley) McGrath who passed in 2016. He was also the brother of the late John McGrath Jr. and Gertrude “Jo” McGrath and the father in law of the late Tom Jensen.
He is survived by his children Robert McGrath Jr. of S. Chelmsford, Stephen McGrath of Framingham, Kevin McGrath of Milford, Kathleen Jensen of Tyngsboro and Barbara Biga of Tyngsboro, five grandchildren, Michael and his wife Laura McGrath, Robert and his wife Tina Biga, Emily McGrath, Amanda McGrath and Joseph Biga, a great granddaughter, Lisa Biga as well as several nieces and nephews.
At the request of his family funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd. Waltham Ma, 02452.
